    Takako met us at our hotel we instantly knew we were in the hands of an an excellent local guide who understood what we wanted and then went on to deliver even more. We asked her to take us around to some Yatai street food stalls . On our way there she showed us the underground subway and artwork there plus the Kushida Shrine and parts of the Hakata old town. We went to two different Yatai areas. The first at very crowded Nakasu area along the river for some of the very famous, best ever freshly made gyoza. Then she took us to Nagahama area where there are Yatai that usually only locals go. Here we had yakitori, Nagahama ramen plus a dish of warm avocado with mentaiko and omelet also with mentaiko Some great beer and sake made it a perfect first night in Fukuoka. Takako is warm, friendly and great fun . She gave us a great introduction to Fukuoka.

    Sayuri was een fantastische gids! Ze was punctueel, maar ook flexibel en stemde steeds af op onze wensen. We hebben veel geleerd over geschiedenis, religie en cultuur. En we hebben enorm genoten. Sayuri had ook goede tips qua restaurants!! Sayuri was a fantastic guide! She was punctual yet flexible, and always tailored things to our wishes. We learned a lot about history, religion, and culture, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Sayuri also had great restaurant recommendations!
