Experience the magic of the annual sakura season "hanami" celebrations with a local insider
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
With your host to show you how locals like to celebrate, you’ll go on an experience of some of Sapporo’s loveliest sakura spots. With drinks and snacks from a konbini convenience store, sit down under the blooming boughs of 2,600 cherry blossom trees in Moerenuma Park’s ‘Cherry Blossom Forest’ for your very own hanami (cherry blossom viewing) picnic.
Move between the city’s bustling central parks, each with its gorgeous groves of blossoms, or get off the beaten track toward Nakanosawa. This street transforms into a fairytale tunnel of pink petals. And don’t worry about missing the season! In northern Hokkaido – the last place to warm up springtime – the iconic flowers bloom well into May!

Perfect English! He has good food recommendations, was very flexible with what to do. If we come again to Sapporo we would like to book this guide again.

Show moreZarina our guide was most patient and professional. She took us to so many places and told us so much about the city, all the notable buildings, neighborhoods, sculptures, temples, shrines, and parks. She is full of knowledge and I don't know how she remembers all of that! She took us to this amazing curry soup noodle place and it was to die for. She was so kind. We had a most memorable day! Highly recommend it!

Show moreHad a wonderful time with Zarina walking around Sapporo. She had wonderful knowledge of the area and we learned so much about the culture there and how different it was from the rest of Japan! I absolutely loved the city and would definitely go back. The local beer, sake, ramen, and fried chicken we got to taste helped.
Show moreZarina was a great guide. She contacted me before we arrived to check if there were specific things we wanted or if we had any restrictions. She was so knowledgeable not only about Otaru but all of Hokkaido. We learned a lot and really enjoyed all the spots she took us to.
