What I love most about Oaxaca is the food, from the complexity of traditional dishes to the simplicity of others that are just as delicious. I enjoy discovering small coffee shops that serve amazing state-grown coffee and admiring the city’s charming architecture. You will often find me trying new restaurants to see what they bring to Oaxaca’s food scene or enjoying the diverse nightlife. I know the Reforma, Centro, San Felipe del Agua, and La Noria neighborhoods really well, and I love sharing insights about the city’s architecture, the history of Centro, and my favorite fine dining restaurants and lively bars.
What I enjoy most about Oaxaca is its multicultural essence - every region has its own character and the food is simply amazing. I especially love preparing traditional recipes my grandmother taught me, exploring local markets, and discovering the best street food. I also enjoy visiting nearby communities, mezcal distilleries, and artisan workshops to learn more about our culture. As a local guide, I offer food market and fine dining tours, as well as personalized mezcal tastings. Whether in Oaxaca Centro, Xochimilco, Jalatlaco, or Santa Lucía, I’m always eager to share the authentic tastes and stories that make Oaxaca so special.

Whether it’s the irresistible aroma of local dishes, the taste of organic beverages or the sound of brass bands getting everyone dancing, Oaxaca’s festive spirit never fails to inspire me. When I’m not hosting, you’ll probably find me on the basketball court or at a town festival cheering on a local team. I know neighborhoods like Zimaltan and Ocotlan inside out and I’m always eager to share the authentic side of Oaxaca - its traditions, laughter and community pride - with visitors.
What I love most about this city is its rich culture, the amazing street food, and those unforgettable sunrises and sunsets that light up the sky. Ernesto was great and made the experience so great. He was born here in CDMX, so he was very knowledgeable about the city, politics, history and economics happening. He made the tour fun and was no pressure to get to the next destination - was completely at our own pace and what we wanted to see. Would highly recommend requesting him!

We especially enjoyed lunch at one of Nic's favorite restaurants in the city, a visit to the cathedral and strolls through some of the streets Nic knew as a young man.
