One of my favorite things about this city is the way everyone gathers by the river to watch the sunset - it creates such a warm sense of community. I also enjoy the buzz around local events, especially when the rugby team is playing, and I appreciate how safe and peaceful the streets feel, making it easy to enjoy the city at any time. I love meeting friends and deciding on the spot where to eat or explore and I’m particularly fond of the natural history museum and its garden. I know neighborhoods like Carmes, Saint-Michel, the city center, Saint-Cyprien and Cartoucherie inside out, and I’d be thrilled to share Toulouse’s best churches, Roman Gaul history, iconic bridges, and its lively pubs and restaurants with you in a fun, authentic way.
With a background in art and tourism, I have a special appreciation for Toulouse’s architecture and artistic heritage, and I love sharing the stories that bring its landmarks to life. You’ll often find me strolling through the city center, exploring museums, or venturing into the surrounding region like Foix to soak up its history and landscapes. I’m also fascinated by local cultures and everyday lifestyles, which gives me a deeper way of experiencing the city. Whether you want to admire Toulouse’s unique beauty, uncover hidden corners, or simply enjoy its creative atmosphere, I’d be delighted to show you why this “Pink City” is so inspiring to me.
I’m fascinated by the city’s cultural life – from lively music venues and street festivals to inspiring museums – and I adore how the orangey-red brick buildings glow at sunset. I enjoy biking and walking along the waterways, discovering hidden green spots, and relaxing on charming patios. I know neighborhoods like Saint Cyprien, Chalets, Amidonniers, Carmes, and Bourse-Daurade inside out, and I’m passionate about sharing Toulouse’s music scene, cultural events, and secret gems. With me, you’ll experience the city’s rhythm, beauty, and energy like a true local.
Toulouse is nicknamed “La Ville Rose” (“The Pink City”) because so many of its buildings are made from pink terracotta bricks. When the sunlight hits them, especially at sunset, the whole city seems to glow in warm shades of pink and orange—a unique sight among European cities.
Toulouse is my home, and what I love most here is the atmosphere - warm, welcoming, and always inviting you to slow down and enjoy life. The red bricks give the city its unique charm, especially under the sun - pure happiness! I’m a foodie at heart (I work in restaurants), so I know all the best spots for amazing yet simple food, good wine, and cosy bars where conversations flow easily. I also love wandering the streets with my headphones on - it always feels like discovering the city for the first time. From hidden viewpoints to bookshops, parks and neighbourhood gems in Saint-Cyprien, Roseraie, Jolimont and more, I know where to find both energy and calm. For me, Toulouse is about sharing – whether it’s food, laughter or stories - and I’d love to share that with you.
What I adore most about Toulouse is its unique mix of tradition and modernity - from the iconic pink-brick buildings to the lively student life - and its proximity to both the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, perfect for a quick escape to nature. I enjoy walking along the Garonne River or the Canal du Midi at sunset and exploring cafés, restaurants, and local markets in the city center. I know Rangueil, my calm residential neighborhood, and the bustling Capitole area like the back of my hand. With my insider knowledge of public transport and the best local food experiences - from cassoulet to fresh market treats I love helping visitors navigate Toulouse and discover its authentic flavors, sights and stories.
What I love most about my city is how eclectic each neighborhood feels - from the elegance of Capitole and Esquirol to the creative buzz of St Cyprien, where I live. Toulouse has this special warmth where you instantly feel at home: people say thank you when they get off the bus, smile at strangers and fill cafés with laughter. You’ll often find me exploring new streets with my dog, admiring the architecture, or sharing a drink with friends while debating life for hours. I’m passionate about uncovering hidden gems, quirky shops, cozy coffee spots and all the little stories that make Toulouse so unique - and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Shima is very knowledgeable about Toulouse architecture, history, food, and people. She spoke clearly. She emphasized key events from hundreds of years of history. She is smart, she listens well, enthusiastic, and wonderful to have as a tour guide. Well done!
Show moreGreat introduction to Marseilles. We visited some neighborhoods that we would not have discovered on our own. Thanks to Virginia!!! She was wonderful.
Show moreI had a private tour with Eillin and she was absolutely wonderful. When we met, Eillin asked me what my interests were and gauged how much I knew about Lyon. I am a big foodie and not the biggest history buff, and Eillin tailored my entire tour around what I was interested in. She was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and I would 100000% recommend this tour to future clients in Lyon.
Show moreI had a great tour with Elie Sept 30 and highly recommend!
Show moreEllie was a wonderful guide. She had taken into consideration all information about what I found interesting and the 3 hour tour with her speed past. I thoroughly enjoyable first day in Les Marias area.
Show moreWe felt so lucky to have Guadry be pit guide on our first day in Paris. His knowledge and love for the city is exceptional! He showed us so much and gave us a lot of historical and interesting information about what we saw. His tour of the Montmarte area was amazing! He also was so mindful of what we wanted to see and flexible if we wanted to add on to see anything else. Anyone taking this tour would be well guided in Paris if you have Guadry showing you around!
