What I love most about Bordeaux is wandering through its stunning architecture and charming old streets - it’s the kind of city where you can do everything on foot or by bike, which makes exploring a joy. I’m a big craft beer enthusiast (yes, a beer lover in the city of wine!) and I know all the best bars for trying local brews. You’ll often find me meeting friends for a drink or chasing down the newest vintage thrift shops - I’m a total vintage shopping addict. I know Bordeaux inside the boulevards like the back of my hand, from the street art of Darwin to the lively Bassin à flot near the Cité du Vin. If you’re up for discovering a side of Bordeaux that’s full of history, creativity, and hidden gems, I’d love to show you around!
Emma was a great guide, she liased with us before hand. We explained what we wanted and she delivered. She was extremely personable.— Sharon , Bordeaux
I’m especially drawn to the elegant 18th-century buildings and the calm yet lively vibe of the city, where students, cafés, and history blend perfectly. I spend a lot of time in the Jardin Public or exploring museums like the CAPC and Musée des Beaux-Arts. From the vibrant streets of Saint-Michel to the hidden cafés of Saint-Pierre, I know Bordeaux’s neighborhoods inside out. Whether you’re into art, architecture, or just soaking up the atmosphere, I’d love to help you discover the soul of this incredible city.
I’m Tibo, your easygoing and open-minded local host in Bordeaux, passionate about sharing the city’s unique vibe and vibrant lifestyle with you. What I love most about Bordeaux is its lively atmosphere, the warmth of its people, and its stunning architecture that blends history with modern peace. I enjoy exploring local bars and hidden spots, especially in neighborhoods like Gambetta and Bacalan, where the true spirit of Bordeaux comes alive. With my insider knowledge of the city’s lifestyle and social scene, I’ll ensure your visit is both enriching and enjoyable, offering you an authentic taste of Bordeaux’s charm.
I spend most of my time walking through the city’s vibrant neighborhoods like Victoire, Saint-Michel, and Saint-Paul, always on the lookout for a cozy terrace, a great new restaurant, or a unique thrift shop. What I love most about Bordeaux is its diversity - especially when it comes to food! Whether you’re into vintage finds, charming streets, or just want to eat your way through the city, I’m here to show you the warm, creative, and delicious side of Bordeaux.
You'll often find me reading a book over a good coffee or taking the boat across the Garonne to explore Darwin and the botanical garden. I know the historical center, Jardin Public, and the Rive Droite area like a local should - and I’m always happy to share my favorite cafés, restaurants, and quiet spots to unwind. Whether you're into history, food, or simply soaking up the Bordeaux atmosphere, I’m here to help you experience the city in a warm and thoughtful way.
Bordeaux's history flows like the river that shaped it. The city’s navigation heritage and Sea Museum fascinate me, as do the multicultural footprints left by those who contributed to its standing. I’m equally inspired by Bordeaux’s natural side - from local vegetation and flowers to the perfume traditions and artisanal production they’ve inspired. You’ll often find me walking through the city center, exploring Pey Berland, Place de la Bourse, or the Monument aux Girondins, as well as the English-style parks in Caudéran and beyond. I also enjoy discovering medieval castles, local markets, and pastry shops, where history and flavor meet. With a passion for art, architecture, and food, I look forward to sharing Bordeaux’s most authentic sides with you.
What I love most about Bordeaux is its stunning architecture and the endless activities that make every day feel new and exciting. I enjoy exploring the city’s main shopping streets, bookstores, museums, and riverside walks, and I know the neighborhoods and surrounding areas like Saint-Émilion, Arcachon, Biscarrosse, and Lacanau very well. Having played in some of Bordeaux’s best theaters, I also love sharing the city’s cultural side, from vibrant performances to hidden gems. I know the best hotels, restaurants - both high-end and charming local spots - and I’m passionate about helping visitors experience the perfect mix of culture, cuisine, and adventure that Bordeaux has to offer.
I love the old castle walls that surround the city and the lively mix of music, art, coffee, and food scenes that make Bordeaux so special. One of my favorite things is the people - students, families, and locals who bring charm and energy to every corner. I’m passionate about discovering new coffee shops, enjoying brunch in the city center, and exploring Saint Michel and Victoire, where I studied and found my favorite record shops and flea markets. Whether it’s jazz bars, art venues, or trendy eateries, I know the best spots to enjoy Bordeaux’s eclectic vibe.
Here is what our guests say about our hosts and creating memories
The walking tour was fantastic. It was excellent to learn about Bordeaux from the perspective of a local. Daniela was extremely knowledgeable and very kind to show us her city. We highly recommend this tour to anyone considering while they're visiting Bordeaux!
Very good!
I went to Paris with my parents as a graduation trip. Côme was our guide and he was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable about the city and brought us to great sightseeing/picture spots. He gave a great lunch spot recommendation. He even helped us set up our metro cards and took a ride with us so we could get the feel of what the metro was like. Definitely wear sneakers or good walking shoes! We had a great time with Côme!
It was perfect from start to finish!
My husband, daughter and I were in Paris for the first time and I decided that a walking tour on our first morning would help us understand the layout of the city. Elie, our guide, contacted me before our trip to discuss what we wanted — and did not want — to see. He even helped me decide whether to bring cash (definitely do! Almost all shops accept credit cards, but we encountered at least one whose card service was down.) Elie warned me that our four-hour tour would be a lot of walking, and he was right. But we saw sights in at least 5 arrondissements, ate lots of amazing things, and learned history that was not explained to us on any of the other adventures we had in Paris. Thank you again, Elie, for an amazing orientation to Paris!

This isn’t a traditional tour with a fixed script. It’s a fully personalized day shaped around your interests, whether it’s culture, history, neighborhoods, or hidden local spots. Your host is a knowledgeable local, more like a friend showing you their city. It’s flexible, one-on-one, and tailored entirely to you.
After booking, you’ll receive a short questionnaire where you can share your interests, travel style, and any must-see spots. Based on that, we’ll match you with a local host who’ll reach out to plan your personalized itinerary.
Your experience will still go ahead, and your host will adapt the day to suit the conditions. One of the great things about City Unscripted is that no two experiences are the same, and your host knows the city well enough to find great “rainy day” alternatives.
