Kevin Garvey was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the music, passionate about history of the city & extremely friendly & accommodating to what we wanted to see & keeping us in the shade on a very hot day.
For anyone that is as passionate as I am about the Manchester music scene, Kevin is the guide would recommend. He’s just as passionate & was part of the scene from the beginning to the end. Thanks again Kevin, Christine & I had a blast.
We had a wonderful time on our walking tour with James. He was a fantastic guide and brought Edinburgh’s Old Town to life with great stories, local history, and interesting details about the streets, architecture, and hidden gems. As a bonus, we happened to be on the Royal Mile when the Scottish Crown was being driven down to Holyrood so the King could open Parliament, which made the experience even more memorable. The tour was engaging, well-paced, and a really enjoyable way to experience the city. We would highly recommend James to anyone visiting Edinburgh!
Our guide, Becky, contacted us in advance to plan the tour. We were especially interested in Borough Market. It was a great afternoon. Becky seemed to know where all the best food and drinks were in Borough Market. She also showed us some of the surrounding sights. I would recommend this tour. Becky is a lovely host.
Lilia was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh. She was ver pleasant and kept us on schedule which is hard for me because I had so many questions when she would show us something new on the tour.
Kevin was assigned to our small group. The first thing he did was ask us our interests (essentially Manchester music between 1977 through 1992). He then did his homework and prepared a list of sites to visit. He was able to share his knowledge of the city and its history (musical and otherwise) with us, as we walked through the town.
Around seemingly every corner, Kevin shared little bits of trivia like how this band played here, or that band rehearsed there.
It really was amazing that all this history happened in such a (relatively) small area.
Even after the tour, Kevin shared even more sites that we weren't able to get to on the tour.
It was a fantastic tour and the highlight of our trip to England.
