There is so much to say about this tour. It exceeded every expectation I had. Kevin communicated with me before I departed for my trip to review my arrival time, plans before and after the tour, and encouraged me to change my arrival plans to ensure I didn't miss Salford Lads Club to ensure I didn't miss The Smiths exhibit, which is only open six hours a week. This experience was worth the cost of new train tickets. He also met me at the train station to ensure we had as much time together as possible.
He walked me through the beautiful city, told me so many stories about The Smiths, showed me historic clubs like the Pev and The Temple where many, many bands played from Bauhaus to Joy Division, The Smiths, Oasis and more. He took me to the former site of the famous Hacienda Club, showed me the library where the famous Joy Division album cover was found, showed me the old train station and explained why Morrissey named the band The Smiths.
He also showed me the Abraham Lincoln statue and explained why there is a statue of Lincoln in Manchester as well as showed me historical figures throughout the tour, records stores to shop in, where to visit for souvenirs, where to eat, which libraries to visit, where to store my luggage, brought me through the gayborhood (as we call it in the States) and walked me over canals and through the streets for several hours. I also saw where Rolls & Royce met as well as THE former hotel for musicians when they visited.
Because it was just me and him, he was able to fulfill my goal of meeting a guide I will be proud to refer and taught me more than I will every remember. I highly suggest taking a tour with Kevin.
We also got some lunch and had a couple pints along the way. It was magical!

Lilia was very informative, she had a very wide knowledge base. She gave us info on many historical people like Sir Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson & Robert Burns. We couldn't recall the names very well ourselves but I think we still got an "A". She may have helped us get the answers.

Coddy was so personal and funny. He customized the tour to our interests, abilities, and sense of humor! We aren't huge Beatles fans, and he gave us the highlights, but focused the tour on other things. We shared a lot of laughs! He even helped push my friend's wheelchair. I would highly recommend getting a personal tour from Coddy instead of going in a big group.
