We loved the informality of a tour designed just for us. We loved hiking on the Bradleys Head walking track, which is something that a normal tour would not have done.— Robert , Sydney
Sydney, to me, sounds like tropical birdsong drifting between glass towers - wild, alive and effortlessly beautiful. That mix of nature and city buzz is what keeps me inspired every day. I spend most of my time chasing sunshine at Sydney’s beaches and discovering vegan and vegetarian gems that turn simple ingredients into something special. I know the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the city inside out, from hidden coastal walks to must-try plant-based eats. If you want to tap into Sydney’s beach culture, relaxed rhythms, and incredible food scene, I’m your person.
I have lived in Sydney for over 30 years. It would be my pleasure to show you around Sydney!
You’ll usually find me wandering the historic nooks of The Rocks, power strolling past Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, or doing every foreshore walk like it is a competitive sport. I know the eastern suburbs like an old friend, especially Paddington’s hidden treasures. If you are after the perfect beach, coffee, wine, or all three at once, I have you covered because Sydney and I have history.
My biggest love in life is my doggie x
After 35 years working in the heart of the city as a journalist and editor, I’ve come to see Sydney as a living, breathing tapestry of history, culture, and people. Whether wandering through The Rocks, strolling along the harbour foreshores or uncovering the tales of Kurnell and Camay National Park, I love bringing the city’s past and present to life. From hidden laneways to legendary sporting grounds, I’ll help you see Sydney not just as a destination , but as a story waiting to be told.
After traveling to our beautiful west coast, I began to share my passion with others as a tour guide. Spending the majority of my time leading multiday kayak tours, I was able to spend 10 amazing seasons on the Pacific coast. It was during this time that I met my Australian partner. We moved to Australia in late 2019, and it is possible that there was no worse time to come. Bushfires raged and as soon as the fires calmed down, the pandemic began. Despite all of this, Sydney was a city I quickly fell in love with. My first job here was doing kayak tours to Shark Island which gave me a unique perspective of the city. As much as I thought I wouldn't enjoy a major city like Sydney, I was blown away by how much natural beauty there is in such a big city. It has quickly become home and is a place I am passionate about sharing its natural beauty, and cultural history with the entire world.
I'm Moji, your go-to guide for everything Melbourne – and when I say "everything", I mean from the foot-tapping festivals to that sneaky alley cafe where the barista knows how to froth the milk just right. Melbourne's nature? I've wandered its national parks more times than kangaroos hop. Fancy a trip to artisanal towns or keen for some ballet twirls? I've got you. From Hawthorn's hustle to Ferntree Gully's rustle, I’m your trusty GPS - without the annoying "recalculating" bit. So, if you're after Melbourne’s hidden gems or just craving a top-notch coffee, hit me up!
I'm your local host in Sydney with a love for great views, good company, and sharing all the hidden gems this amazing city has to offer. I’m always up for a laugh and love showing visitors why Sydney’s charm is truly one of a kind. You’ll often find me wandering through neighborhoods like The Rocks, the buzzing CBD, or the laid-back Northern Suburbs, soaking in the city’s colonial history and dynamic arts scene. Whether it’s uncovering stories of Sydney’s past, diving into its thriving pop culture, or sipping a craft beer at a local brewery, I’m your guy for an insider’s take on what makes Sydney tick. From breathtaking harbor views to quirky cultural spots, I’m all about helping you see Sydney through a fresh lens. Let’s explore, chat, and make some unforgettable memories in this incredible city - I can’t wait to show you around!
If Sydney were a dessert, it’d be a layered cake—beaches, cafés, art, history, and a whole lot of hidden gems. I’ve lived all over this city, from the super central to the super random, and I’ve made it my mission to try every matcha, dessert, and coffee spot (a never-ending quest, really). When I’m not photographing Sydney’s ever-changing skyline, I’m probably geeking out over architecture, art galleries, or why acid-free paper is superior. Need a local who knows where to find the best sweets, the quirkiest pop-ups, or the perfect beach—even the ones with foot-stabbing sand? I’ve got you covered. Let’s explore!
Sydney is my playground, and I love how it blends vibrant city life with beautiful nature. You’ll often find me browsing cozy bookshops (yes, they know me by name!), catching a ballet or musical, or soaking up the coastal charm of Coogee, Bondi, and Clovelly. Whether you’re after hidden literary gems, artsy hotspots, or a scenic stroll with a great coffee in hand, I’ve got you covered. Let’s explore Sydney’s creative side together—good conversation and a few laughs guaranteed!
I’m Mike, a Sydney local who can never decide if I love the skyscrapers or the sea more so I enjoy both at once. I’m all about scenic walks from Bondi to Coogee, coastal cliffs, ocean pools, and beachside cafés, but I never skip a weekend market, whether it’s The Rocks, Glebe, or Paddington, hunting for handmade treasures and yummy treats. I know Glebe, Rushcutters Bay, Barangaroo, Newtown, and Paddington like the back of my hand, from historic Georgian and Victorian buildings to hidden Asian markets with the best dumplings. I love sharing Sydney’s quirky mix of nature, city life, and multicultural food often with a laugh or two along the way.
I love exploring Sydney’s waterways, from the sparkling Harbour to the city’s beautiful beaches, and there’s nothing better than hopping on a ferry to see the city from the water. I enjoy a delicious meal in Chinatown followed by a night at the theatre, wandering coastal walks along the North Shore and Northern Beaches, and discovering the hidden gems of the Inner West and city neighborhoods. I know the best op shops, markets, and spots to find incredible street art. I love sharing Sydney’s charm with visitors and helping them experience the city like a local.
Olivia was wonderful!
Show morePeter was an incredible host to Sydney. His communication BEFORE the tour was outstanding - making recommendations regarding money exchanges before even arriving, restaurants, keeping me informed regarding the opening of the new fish market (and sending YouTube videos), etc. The day of our tour, after disembarking the cruise ship and arriving at our hotel, Peter came and met us there to start our journey. He taught us how to use the tram system (which we did use a number of times over the next 4 days), took us to the Opera House (where they were setting up and rehearsing for the next day's Australia Day festivities), around The Rocks area, ferry ride to Manly Beach, walk through the downtown area (hidden gem - the "bird cages"), over to Darling Harbor, and ending at the new Fish Market (opened earlier that week)...and so many more sites - too many to mention. You will need good sneakers to keep up with Peter, as he is anxious to show you everything this magnificent city has to offer. Absolutely worth doing this tour, and try and get Peter as your guide - you will not be disappointed!

Yes! You can blend food, culture, history, neighborhoods, or even a bit of nightlife if time allows. Just share your interests in the questionnaire, and your host will build the day around them.
