Discover more about meI'm Ross, your amiable and passionate Sydney host. I'm absolutely in love with the multifaceted charm of this city, from its rich blend of cultures to its often-overlooked historical depth. Sydney's vibrant festivals, diverse food scenes, and historic tales are what I thrive on sharing. I adore wandering around The Rocks and Surry Hills, soaking in the city's energy and history. You'll often find me relaxing by the harbor, taking in the lively buzz and breathtaking views. As someone deeply knowledgeable about Sydney's history and architecture, I look forward to showing you the hidden gems and stories behind our iconic buildings. Whether it's exploring bustling neighborhoods or unwinding by the scenic foreshore, I'm here to make your Sydney experience unforgettable. Let's uncover the heart of Sydney together!
An amazing day with an outstanding guide. Ross contacted us in advance and created a personalized tour of Sydney. He introduced us to the many public transportation options in the city. We covered many sites in the city and area…and still enjoyed a relaxing lunch with a lovely water view. Our remaining 2 days in Sydney were much more enjoyable and relaxed because of our experience on this guided tour. Sydney is a beautiful city that deserves to be explored. This private tour was indeed a treasure…and our guide Ross…a gift! Thank you!
Show moreRoss met us at our hotel. Well before we met he corresponded with us to inquire as to what we were going to see prior to our tour while in Sydney and also to inquire about anything we wanted to absolutely see. I appreciated the communication. We started off by going through parts of Sydney Harbor that my wife and I had not yet experienced and heard about the history of this area and of Australia. We next headed to Bondi Beach, which was the one place we definitely wanted to go to. He smoothly guided us on and off trains, buses and railways to get to the beach. We spent time walking the beach and hearing about some of the history there and at the Bondi Iceberg’s Club. We went to downtown and midtown and Ross showed us all of the significant historical sites all the while explaining their significance both in the past and currently. We spent 4 hours walking and seeing many wonderful historic sites and hearing about the history of Australia from its beginning to now. It was a great combination of history and current uses of places. Ross was great as our guide - very friendly, very knowledgeable and very adaptive to our ‘wants’. We enjoyed the morning!
Show moreOur walking city tour with Ross was outstanding. We found Sydney to be a big city with a rich history that had far more of a frontier feel than you might imagine. The complex history of Australia and Sydney were covered thoroughly and fairly by Ross. Additionally, his knowledge of today’s Sydney and its offerings were useful.
Show moreMy experience has been that the guide makes or breaks the tour, so I was fortunate to get a great tour guide. Ross was retired and had lived in the area his whole life, so he was very knowledgeable. If I return I will definitely do the same tour again.

Hey, I’m Olivia - a Sydney local who fell hard for this city and never looked back.
Discover more about meSydney, to me, sounds like tropical birdsong drifting between glass towers - wild, alive and effortlessly beautiful. That mix of nature and city buzz is what keeps me inspired every day. I spend most of my time chasing sunshine at Sydney’s beaches and discovering vegan and vegetarian gems that turn simple ingredients into something special. I know the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and the city inside out, from hidden coastal walks to must-try plant-based eats. If you want to tap into Sydney’s beach culture, relaxed rhythms, and incredible food scene, I’m your person.
This is one of the best tours to do if you only have a couple of days to spend in Sydney. We're happy to have been matched with a professional, kind & knowledgeable tour guide named Olivia. We were so unlucky with the pouring rain throughout the day but that didn’t stop us from exploring the city and still saw a lot in spite of the weather. Olivia was exceptionally skilled in showing the best sights around Sydney and best of all she showed us how to use the Ferry and light rail. We had been here decades ago but Olivia made it easy for us to reminisce the past & compare the present. | highly recommend to give this tour a try and it will be worth your time.
Show moreOlivia started the tour a stranger and ended the tour a ls a friend. Well done Olivia for a great overview of sydney to a first time visitor.
Show moreOlivia was a lovely tour guide. I enjoyed visiting with her and she was receptive to any suggestions I made about places yo visit. Thank you Olivia!

Hi, I'm Graeme, a born storyteller with a lifelong love for Sydney , its vibrancy, colour, and endless stories around every corner.
Discover more about meAfter 35 years working in the heart of the city as a journalist and editor, I’ve come to see Sydney as a living, breathing tapestry of history, culture, and people. Whether wandering through The Rocks, strolling along the harbour foreshores or uncovering the tales of Kurnell and Camay National Park, I love bringing the city’s past and present to life. From hidden laneways to legendary sporting grounds, I’ll help you see Sydney not just as a destination , but as a story waiting to be told.
Graeme was very personal and friendly. He made great suggestions for places to visit based on our interests and other itinerary. I loved his personal stories and even getting to know him a bit. It really did feel like meeting up with a friend!

Our host was wonderful. She imparted her vast knowledge, was engaged and made this a wonderful experience.
Show moreMy wife and I visited Sydney for a very short time and had only one afternoon to get to know a little about Sydney. We found this "unscripted" tour which appeared perfect for our needs because it could be tailored to our tight schedule. We were toured by Pipster, who communicated with us in advance to coordinate everything, rearranged the meeting place to our hotel because we were running late from the airport, and waited for us patiently (and woth cold water bottles) in the lobby. She took us on a marvelous tour showing us all the "hidden side" of Sydney, showing us eating places (we are foodies) and tucked away corners as only a knowledgeable local could do. We find after traveling a while that the most enjoyable experiences occur when you identify unique gems that show the character of the place and the people and Pup did just that for us. We highly recommend this tour!

Hi, I'm Kevin - born and raised in a small town in Canada, I grew up with love for nature and the natural environment.
Discover more about meAfter traveling to our beautiful west coast, I began to share my passion with others as a tour guide. Spending the majority of my time leading multiday kayak tours, I was able to spend 10 amazing seasons on the Pacific coast. It was during this time that I met my Australian partner. We moved to Australia in late 2019, and it is possible that there was no worse time to come. Bushfires raged and as soon as the fires calmed down, the pandemic began. Despite all of this, Sydney was a city I quickly fell in love with. My first job here was doing kayak tours to Shark Island which gave me a unique perspective of the city. As much as I thought I wouldn't enjoy a major city like Sydney, I was blown away by how much natural beauty there is in such a big city. It has quickly become home and is a place I am passionate about sharing its natural beauty, and cultural history with the entire world.
Kevin is interesting, charming and a good listener. He offered me exactly the walk I was dreaming of in Watson bay. It was very, very pleasant. He then explained how to get to Bondi. On the other hand, TripAdvisor had trouble linking us beforehand.

So, if you're after Melbourne’s hidden gems or just craving a top-notch coffee, hit me up!
Moj was absolutely lovely. Fantastic personality and friendly. Neither of us had a strict script. We walked around and saw lots of things i wanted to see. I have no complaints. I would absolutely book another tour
Show moreWe had a very pleasant time exploring Melbourne City with my guide, Moji. She was very smiling and kind. She took many my family photos in front of various tourist spots. She asked us questions about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go, and she got it done quickly. She took us to various places such as Melbourne's back streets, casinos, historical sites, and markets. At the market, I had the pleasure of purchasing a painting depicting Melbourne's landmarks with her. She found me a nice painting shop. I would like to thank her for making the most of her effort for our sightseeing within the limited time of 4 hours.

I’m all about scenic walks from Bondi to Coogee, coastal cliffs, ocean pools, and beachside cafés, but I never skip a weekend market, whether it’s The Rocks, Glebe, or Paddington, hunting for handmade treasures and yummy treats. I know Glebe, Rushcutters Bay, Barangaroo, Newtown, and Paddington like the back of my hand, from historic Georgian and Victorian buildings to hidden Asian markets with the best dumplings.
