She made us feel at home. I am a fourth generation Japanese from America and I don’t speak Japanese, but understand the language. She welcomed us and taught us about local culture and sites. Akira was fun and had amazing energy. Will definitely recommend her!

Atari took us on a cultural journey giving us insightful background information that we couldn’t get in any other way. We could look at historical scenes but Atari told us what was behind the custom and what it meant to the people today.

I highly recommend Akari for a tour in Kanazawa. She spent a lot of time before the trip texting back-and-forth and fine tuning what our next day tour would be. She took us to a secret shrine and was very generous in conversations about local culture and norms. We stopped for snacks along the way at some fun places.. At the First shrine we visited, she explained the customs and how to offer prayers and make wishes for the future. Akari has great energy and you will enjoy a trip with her!
