Akihiro was very knowledgeable and friendly
Show moreAkihiro was so calm and patient dealing with the range of speeds in our group. He showed us so much in the time alloted and even took extra time to show us some key points we had missed on our previous day. He had great recommendations for food for later too.
Show moreAki was a wonderful host! My husband and I learned a lot from the tour, like that there is a strong Western (American) influence in Sapporo. He took us to lovely parks where we could enjoy the autumn leaves. We had mentioned that we were most interested in the local cuisine, so he took us to the fish market to try the delicious scallops, to the oldest beer hall in Sapporo to taste Classic Sapporo beer, and finally to a wonderful hole-in-the-wall for the best miso ramen in town!

Hello, my name is Zarina, and I study environmental science in Sapporo.
Discover more about meI like this city, as it is full of modern life, but surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains. I like everything about nature and culture — traditional japanese theater, hiking, spending time in the zoo with my friends’ kids and search for traces of past life on river stones. I am a «vintage shopaholic», so I know almost all major flea markets in the city — on one of them I bought my favorite japanese flute.
I really enjoyed the tour with our guide Zarina! We’ve got to visit most important sights and she showed us some hidden areas. I particularly enjoyed sake and fresh tuna tasting. Thank you so much!
Show moreExcellent tour with enthusiastic guide
Show moreZarina was well informed and gave us a lot of interesting information and history regarding otaru. She was very adaptable given the bad weather and has a great sense of humor as well. She gave useful recommendations for Sapporo dining as well.
Show moreThe guide, Zarina, explained many interesting things and also gave me useful tips.

Shiunn was very knowledgable and friendly! We had a great time trying food we would have otherwise not been able to find ourselves. It was an experience I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Sapporo.
Show moreMy partner and I were fortunate enough to spend a half day in Sapporo recently with Shiunn. She was wonderful. We had a few ideas of what to see and she turned that into a delightful afternoon of sightseeing and chatting. Shiunn speaks excellent English and has great juju. Just book a tour with her, you’ll be glad you did.
Show moreShiunn is a very friendly and funny guide who knows Sapporo and its history very well. She managed to show us the main attractions despite the heavy snow. We had a great time with her!
Show moreOur guide Shiunn was great, we walked around the picturesque university grounds near our hotel, saw a museum and were shown the history of the city and the indigenous people of Hokkaido. Although the 3 hours went quickly, we walked through the streets and the underground of Sapporo and were told about many places, which we then visited in the next few days. Our tour ended at one of Shiunn's favourite ramen placed which was delicious. Highly recommended this tour as a starting point in Sapporo to get your bearings and a feel for the city.

Growing up in the heart of Sapporo, Chuouku, and now residing in the serene Toyohira district, I've developed a deep affection for both the bustling city vibes and the tranquil embrace of nature that Sapporo uniquely offers. My passion? Diving into Sapporo's culinary scene. There's nothing like savoring a bowl of our famous ramen, a taste that brings comfort and warmth, especially during our snowy winters. Let me share with you the Sapporo I know and love. Ready for an adventure?
This was a great first day tour to get the layout of the city and some out of the way highlights. Ryuki was an excellent guide, and he took us to one of our favorite stops in Hokkaido: Asahiyama Memorial Park. The autumn leaves were at their peak, and the walk was lovely. We were able to see a mountain-top view of the city there as well. Along with other stops at the Hokkaido Shrine and the 1972 Winter Olympic Ski Jump, we had an amazing lunch at a ramen place for the special miso ramen. This is a terrific first tour of Sapporo when you only have a few hours.

Toru is what made our experience special. His knowledge and lovely way he explained Sapporo to us, was wonderful.
Show moreToru was the perfect guide! Extremely friendly and engaging, he provided a fully immersive experience on a tailor-made itinerary through an off-the-beaten-path Otaru. It was the authentic Japanese immersion I was looking for. Thank you so much, Alex!
Show moreWhat I enjoyed most was the visit to the shrine and lunch at the local restaurant Unforgettable
Show moreToru had good local k pledge of Sapporo, especially the food. I enjoyed eating the Japanese food specifically to Sapporo’s local cuisine. They were in areas only a local would know and was delicious. We visited other local common tourist areas and made some great photos and experiences. The weather was not the most ideal, but Toru was flexible and I was able to get the most out of the day. I got to know the local area better and insights to see/explore other things if I was interested. Would definitely do another tour with Toru again in the future.
