Maria was a spectacular local host providing us wonderful access to hidden local gems that we never would have found on our own. She tailored our days together (we loved her so much we ended up booking two extra days!) considerate of our American teenage boy’s preferences but also ours as experienced travelers.

Maria was fantastic! She was so helpful even before we arrived, as far as some back and forth emails to tailor our itinerary. She was willing to adjust things even on the day, since I was having a lot of hip pain during our walk around the city. She knew some short cuts to take and places for me to rest. We saw so much and appreciated her friendliness and her knowledge of Osaka since she has been living there for over 30 years. Her English is excellent. I would highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a local guide to show them the best of Osaka!

Osaka is full of humor and different cultural vibes. Maria did a lovely job of bringing the spirit of osaka to life for us, showing us the history with the osaka castle and taking us to one of our favorite meals in japan eating like a local over chao chao!
