Shota-san was a delightful and engaging guide for the morning in Kanazawa that we spent with him. Knowledgeable about the city and its history, he also knew to take us into some residential areas where we were well away from the herd of tourists. We got a great deal from him and it was a real pleasure being with such an agreeable person for those hours. Of course, his excellent command of idiomatic English was a major asset to understanding. I would easily recommend him to anyone visiting Kanazawa.

We spent 4 hours with Megumi (Megu) and every moment was wonderful. Megu is warm, knowledgeable and created a perfect tour for us. We learned so much from her. She had a very engaging narrative and answered all of our questions. Our time when by so quickly, we were sad when it was over. We were a multi-generational group with 20 year olds to an 80 year old and we all agreed that our tour with Megu was not only a highlight of our time in Kanazawa, but Japan overall!

We were lucky to be matched with Akari, She is very friendly and knowledgeable, offering a lot of historical and cultural insights as well as answering any questions we had as we went. We had a wonderful four hour walking tour with her, starting with the market, visiting the Geiko neighbourhoods and finishing in the samurai District. Many wonderful foods were tasted, and we also had time to meander in and out of a few interesting shops. The pace was perfect, and we wouldn’t have been able to see so many things in the period of time that we spent with her. Unforgettable experience which made our trip in Kanazawa even more special.
