On food tours in Hiroshima, save the basics for another day and let your local guide show you the dishes that were created and perfected right here in the city. There’s no better place to start Hiroshima food tours than “Okonomiyaki Village,” where several stalls under a single roof all serve the dish that residents love most: Hiroshima Okonomiyaki, a version of the iconic “everything pancake” that also includes yakisoba noodles and is fried in mouth-watering layers. Yum!
Why spend your day at Hiroshima restaurants when there are so many different ways to enjoy a bite to eat in the city? Historic teahouses, unassuming street food stalls, traditional markets, and trendy bars are just a few of the places you can go to experience the best of Hiroshima’s culinary scene. Hiroshima food tours with City Unscripted let you sample fresh oysters at humble oyster huts, traditional snacks at dimly-lit izakaya and sweet treats at quaint teahouses or cool cafés. Who needs Google or a guidebook when you have a local guide planning your entire experience for you?
