Here's Martina, a florentine 26 years old girl who is in love with food and travelling.
Discover more about meI just graduated in Florence and I'm currently working as Front Desk Manager in a Bed&Breakfast in the city centre. Throughout my work experience, and also while accompanying all my Spanish friends during their holidays here in Italy, I realized how much I was interested in guiding people to hidden places, bars and restaurants, and have walks with them in beautiful gardens. I am really passionate about food and always love to try new restaurants to discover what's new in town. I am also working in the cultural world, and by living in a city such as Florence, exploring and talking about art is essential! A really good holiday is a mix of food, landscapes, traditions and art! You just need to figure out which is the best way to enjoy it for you! I lived here for all my life, I know this city as my pocket, and it would be a pleasure to experience its hidden (and not so hidden) gems with you!
Martina emailed me ahead of time and we planned how to spend the six hour private tour. I think that was the key to the success of the day. We visited her side of Florence, enjoyed the outdoor markets, gardens and specialty stores for art. We went to an amazing place for lunch and later, stopped a wine bar. All this afforded Martina time to share her city with me. I felt like I was not a tourist but visiting with a friend. I have been to Florence before and done all the major sites. This was a unique day that I will never forget.
Show moreMartina was absolutely exceptional! Highly recommend her to anyone who’s interested in a local, fun filled and personable experience!
Show moreMartina was fantastic. We saw lots of the city. New and old. Just enough history not to drown in it all. Loved it.

I consider myself an expert in Florentine museums, especially the Uffizi Galleries and the Accademia Gallery. As a trained sommelier, I’m also happy to share my knowledge of Italian wines.
Martina was wonderful : she showed us both the top attractions as well as little known spots. She taught us a lot about history which we are very interested in. She also gave us great recommendations for shopping- found lovely jewelry and leatherwork and wonderful restaurants- in one of them we had the best meal of our trip.

At the end of the tour she provided us with recommendations for restaurants, wine windows, shopping, and other areas of interest in Florence. Thank you Martina for such a wonderful tour!
