This was a highlight of my trip to Europe! The weather was disastrous but I had so much fun visiting all of the “Madchester” sites and hearing the AMAZING stories (historical and personal) that Darren had to share. He was beyond personable and if I didn’t live in another country I’d beg him to be my drinking buddy! Even if he supports United. Boo.

Manchester is such a cool City and my tour guide Darren was perfect. He has lots of interesting local knowledge about the town’s history and culture. He was fascinating on the music scene in particular. It was fun and I would highly recommend.

Manchester is such a fantastic City. There is so much to see but it is all very walkable. Darren was interesting and funny and passed on his love for the area. He knows a great deal about the history of the City and the music scene in particular. It was a fab morning tour! I would highly recommend.

Our guide, Darren, was fantastic! We signed up for the Manchester Music Tour, but Darren did such a great job with combining it with Football history along with overall history of the City of Manchester. He had first hand knowledge of so many of the places that we visited and it was so great to get his perspective having lived through the Madchester scene! Darren was extremely personable and we got on with him very well. I would strongly recommend him to anyone that has a chance to participate in one of his many tours.

Jutta was incredible! She customized the tour to match our interests! She gave us the perfect mix of local history, unique neighborhoods, and music-related stops for our son. She brought us to areas we never would’ve known to explore, from old historic sites to funky, creative pockets of the city. Her knowledge of Manchester’s past and present really brought it all to life. If you want to see the real Manchester, not just the typical sights…go with Jutta! Highly Recommend.

Friendly and knowledgeable

Jutta was everything we wanted in a host. She tailored an amazing tour to our exact interests.

Did you know that the “insert item” was invented in Manchester? We learned so much on our two hour tour including the incredible listing of invented/created in Manchester tidbits that we have a new found affinity for the city that has nothing to do with its football teams. Jutta was always communicating prior to the tour and even gave us a great pub suggestion for the day before our scheduled tour - she gave us a great 2 hour tour covering everything we asked for in the lead up to the tour. We wanted to know about the history of the city with some emphasis on the music scene in particular the late 70’s and early 80’s punk and new wave music makers. We ended the tour with another great suggestion for a quiet coffee and scone location. Jutta can easily be hired for a longer tour should one have the time or inclination. I’m sure we missed so much. However, it was what we asked for and she delivered in spades. A great tour!

Some walking, very knowledge guide. Knew exactly where to go to give us a solid overview in three hours. Some great side stories made it even more enjoyable.

Roy was a fantastic tour guide and gave us a fantastic insight into Manchester, teaching us many things we never knew before! He took our needs into account which was much appreciated - e.g. coffee stop! This was very much appreciated and we are all still talking about how much we enjoyed it!

Kieran took the time to get to know about our interests ahead of the tour. He made it personal and fun, showing us lots of cool places, provided historical facts and interesting information along the way.

Had a good walk around the city and learnt loads about Manchester we had no idea about despite a few previous visits. It was really good that Kieran knew the areas so well and had personal anecdotes to bring the city to life. Followed Kierans personalised recommendations and had a brilliant dinner and night out after and he showed us where to go from our hotel the next day to get to the main shopping centres and eateries.

It was a great and very interesting sightseeing tour through the versatile Manchester! Thanks a lot!

I had a fabulous, sun-drenched* morning with Kieran, born and raised in Manchester. I was looking for someone with a lifetime's worth of personal stories to tell, and that is what I got. I never just listen – I ask lots of questions and Kieran had tales for every single one. So if you like getting to know a city through its loyal locals, try this guy! * Your weather may wary. ;-)

The private tour was amazing, fun, interesting, a lot of history. Thanks to my tour guide William I had an amazing experience. He took me to hidden gems that I would have never seen alone. He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, nice, and very polite. The tour was very special because he took me to places I would have never found. It was very amazing and fun. Even though the company never send me the questionnaire it worked out. William was open minded and ask me what I wanted to do. But I left it up to him since he is the professional and it was an excellent experience. I will recommend him to everyone and anytime. He knows his stuff. I give him 5 stars.

Dylan is a very pleasant young man who knows his home town well. He is a Manchester U person and gives a generational perspective. For baby boomers like my wife and I, it was an interesting perspective. We enjoyed our time with him and he was flexible in what we saw.
