I am Guide
About Me: Hi! I’m Jorge, a multilingual guide with a deep passion for history, culture, and hidden gems. Having lived in Japan for years—including three years in the UNESCO village of Shirakawa-go—I specialize in immersive and off-the-beaten-path experiences in Kanazawa, the Hokuriku region, and beyond. My journey in Japan has been enriched by working for both a Japanese school and a local company, as well as having a Japanese family, giving me a unique, firsthand perspective on local traditions, customs, and everyday life. Why Explore with Me? Local Expertise – I don’t just show you the main attractions; I take you to places only locals know. Whether it’s discovering a historic samurai district, visiting a hidden tea house, or learning about Kanazawa’s artistic heritage, I ensure an unforgettable experience. Personalized & Engaging – I tailor tours to your interests, whether you love history, food, nature, or traditional crafts. Multilingual Guide – Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Japanese, I make sure you feel at home while exploring Japan. Deep Cultural Understanding – Living in Shirakawa-go for three years, working in Japan, and being part of a Japanese family have given me a rare and authentic insight into Japanese culture, both urban and rural. Passionate Storytelling – I bring the past to life, from samurai legends to the fascinating history of geishas and Japan’s post-war transformation.
The tour was amazing, Jorge met me at my BnB and organized based on what I wanted to see. He was very knowledgeable about the history and places, but also made the tour fun and engaging. He also send some useful information to where to eat and what to see in my next few days. Overall great experience and I will definitely book a second tour when I'm back in Japan :)

Jorge (through city unscripted) was absolutely amazing. Jorge really took us to off the beaten path places. It was also New Year’s Day and most sites were closed, but Jorge still showed us a number of amazing things we would have never seen without a guide. We also thoroughly enjoyed talking to Jorge and leaning about Japan
