From seafood, artisanal products, Thai or Indian, fine wines, and craft beers, taste Sydney's best bites ending with a Jaffa gelato in hand
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You might not be throwing a couple of shrimp on the barbie, but you’ll taste some of Sydney’s favorite dishes. Seafood is a must, whether you enjoy salty, crispy fish and chips, tuck into a selection of super-fresh sashimi, or indulge in local Balmain bugs (a species of lobster native to Australia).
You’ll follow your host into a small deli filled with artisanal producers to sample – and stock up on – tapenades, bread, oils, and delicious relishes, and visit a wine distributor or a tiny heritage bar to taste some of the finest blended wines and craft beers. And if you’re keen to try Sydney’s take on international dishes? Thai or Indian-tasting plates are always a good idea before strolling down the harbor, Jaffa gelato in hand.

Show moreWe had a great experience with our guide, Olivia. We had a food tour with various stops. She was knowledgeable and gave us exactly what we were looking for- an opportunity to see not-so-popular dining establishments while getting a great lay of the land in Sydney. She was easy to talk with and answered our questions. She had a good knowledge of history and lots of insider tips on shopping and eating that we utilized for the remainder of our trip.
Show moreJohn was my tour guide and was a really great one! We met up at the pickup location and due to me already being familiar with the area, we were able to do an adhoc change to of the places we we going to visit. We were able to visit The Rocks, The Botanical Gardens, get some really good views of The Opera House from Milsons point and have an amazing walk around Sydney. John was very knowledgable, had great jokes, very personable and ensured I was okay throughout the tour. Definitely a great tour and thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend John for all who is looking for a nice tour around the city.
