Michael was a great host and it was like meeting an old friend who has lived in Japan and could share his experiences. He balanced history with cultural knowledge. Was able to adjust the plan based on our interests. He was fun and was able to set up a day to see the best of Kyoto!

Really creative and interesting way to learn about and tour the city, with special care for what I wanted to visit.

Best tour guide we have ever had

Bertha was the best tour guide!!!

The four of us enjoyed Graeme’s tour very much. He was very informative and flexible with the agenda. The ferry ride to Manly was a highlight.

Allen was an excellent tour guide on this Tappas adventure. The food he selected was delicious and truly things I would never have selected for myself. But even better than the food was his knowledge of the history of Barcelona and Spain. We so enjoyed the walk around the area and learned so much. The day ended perfectly with the best churro’s made fresh in front of us!

Benny was a superb host yesterday. His tour was unique as he tailored it to our emerging wishes as we went along. He conveyed his local knowledge, building a picture of the area and individual stops with enthusiasm. We were fascinated by the markets, enjoyed his recommendations in the restaurants and glad to have a few rest stops along the way. A lot of walking was fuelled by glorious local food and drinks from packed venues where Benny was able to walk us straight to tables. Although labelled as a night food tour, we went on an afternoon and had a wonderful time. No dinner needed after...just a contented sleep!

We had a lovely day exploring Kyoto with our wonderful guide, Ada. We visited Gion and Shirakawa Canal, Yasaka Shrine, Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka and Kiyomizu-dera. Ada was delightful to be with and very knowledgeable about Japan, Kyoto and the sites we visited. We all appreciated her warm and friendly personality, and she was happy to move at a comfortable pace to accommodate my mother, which was really appreciated.
