Hello! I'm Toru, your happy host to all things Sapporo, where the golf courses are as plentiful as my curiosity and the art scene as vibrant as my imagination. If you're looking to explore the best spots in town, I'm your guy. I absolutely love playing golf around here; there's nothing like hitting a few balls with the scenic views we've got. And when I'm not on the golf course, you'll find me wandering through art museums, getting lost in the passion behind each piece. I'm all about finding those unique spots, too. I'll guide you to the best ramen spots in town like "Ozawa" and "Ginparo Tsukisamu". I know my way around, from the coolest cycling paths along the Toyohira River to hidden art gems and local eats that'll blow your mind. This was my first trip to Sapporo and I wanted to learn where shops, restaurants and landmarks are located and also how to get around using the subway system. Toru did a great job showing me around Sapporo and taught me how the city and the subway system are laid out. We visited the local university and Shinto shrine. He showed me how the city is laid out as a grid, where the bus terminal is and how the subway system is structured. By the end of this tour I felt confident I can navigate Sapporo alone. If this is the type of experience you are seeking, I highly recommend Toru.

This is my first multi-day visit to Sapporo. The goal of this tour was to learn how to get around the area and also learn where eateries and shops are located. Both of these goals were met. Toru also allowed me to use my Japanese language skills. Overall this was a great experience.

I if r guide was very flexible and helpful - we focused on modern art and the zoo - al bc went really well - the city is the only one in Japan designed around automobiles.
