"Better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times". Hi everyone! I'm a cheerful girl born in the Philippines but have been living in Japan for almost 16 years. My goal in life is to make people happy and put a smile on their face. I spend my time discovering the beautiful, unseen and unique scenery of the city. During daytime I enjoy visiting the local hotspots of Kyoto such as museums and galleries. There are so many temples and shrines to see. After the sights I often find myself craving for a culinary experience, so I know the best restaurants and street food places in town to give you just that. My evenings are spent in bars singing and drinking. Take my hand as a guide you through the city and its treasures. See you in Kyoto!

We enjoyed our time in in Arashiyama. The monkey park with its views and unique experience was great. We also went to two “hidden gems” with Dairyn which were highlights. Loved the experience and would definitely recommend.

Dairyn did a great job of getting us to the highlights of Arashiyama despite the crowds. She also took us to two “hidden gems” which were a little off the beaten path, but amazing and way less crowded. Would highly recommend Dairyn.

Dairyn showed us a great time in Kyoto. She efficiently guided us to all the key attractions we wanted to see and the experience at each was fantastic. She also suggested we see the Silver shrine, which was not on our radar but ended up being one of the best stops. After the tour she also sent over instructions on things we could see in the following day which we ended up using. One small area for improvement I’d say is if she would enter some of the attractions with the guests and explain the historical meaning of them.

If I could, I would rate Dairyn with 10 stars. As a solo traveler, I felt cared for. She was so easy to talk to, she organized and managed my itinerary flawlessly, and was even able to accommodate the last minute request to visit Kennin-Ji that I made the day before our tour began. Dairyn took it upon herself to visit Kennan-Ji after she completed her day job to ensure that I had my time with her was spent efficiently navigating to each location. This was my first time visiting Kyoto, during my 7 hour tour we visited Kinkaku-Ji, the Ryoanji Temple Rock Garden, Kyoto Station for some of the best ramen I could have ever ask for and to admire the architecture of the station. Then we went to Kennin-Ji to admire the twin dragons painted on the ceiling of the main temple, next we visited the famous pagoda - Hokanji-Ji and were even able to go inside the first two levels! Finally, Dairyn concluded my adventure at Kiyomizu-sera. She went above and beyond by escorting me to my hotel and ensuring that was able to check in. As it turned out I didn’t receive the QR code from the hotel so Dairyn was immediately on the phone troubleshooting on my behalf. Within minutes I had the QR code in hand. I would have been so stressed without her. Dairyn made my weekend trip to Kyoto a truly unforgettable experience! I hope to be back again soon!!
