I am a long-term Japanese language and culture scholar with 15+ years invested in the field. During my life I focused on Japan, learning the Japanese language, and learning about Japanese culture, history, philosophy, geography, and society, and I also tried a few traditional arts such as calligraphy, bookbinding, and origami. I enjoy learning about philosophy, sociology, biology, and physics, especially astrophysics. I like to travel and experience new cultures and new food. I am trying to stay up-to-date by watching news and documentaries. My hobbies include listening to music, playing guitar, composing music, creating videos, writing, watching films, and playing video games.

The guide was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely interested in the places we visited. It was much more personalised than many tourist attractions. The guide was alert to the fact that we are older and accommodated us accordingly.

Marek is an excellent guide who truly knows his way around Tokyo and all its secrets. He is very personable, friendly, and easy to get along with. He showed me what I wanted to see in a relaxed way. His history knowledge is amazing. I would definitely do another tour with him!
