All the small things you normaly as tourist don't get talk about. Special thanks to Yuri for all te wings she did for us.
Show moreThis was our favorite tour so far! Not only did Yuri take us to the best food spots (I’m still dreaming of the gyoza) but she also shared a lot about the history of Nagasaki. We learned a lot, ate at places we’d never have found on our own, and even got to do a little shopping. I highly recommend a tour with Yuri!
Show moreYuri was Amazing!!! She helped coordinate everything for us and kept us on schedule so we had plenty of time to see everything and still have time for shopping! She had all the information necessary to answer all our questions. She was friendly and caring!!!
Show moreYuri had expertly prepared an itinerary for the day based on our initial requests as what kind of day we wanted, and asked her to make recommendations from which we could choose. She proposed a truly unique itinerary for Nagasaki that helped us truly understand the linkage between the west snd the east. She was also flexible to adapt to requests from my wife and I as we spent the day together. Her English speaking and comprehension skills were outstanding so we had a fun day getting acquainted. Yuri is a very enterprising young woman and an excellent guide. She loves people and is so genuine it was a pleasure to have her serve as our guide. I can’t recommend anyone more highly. Meeting her was a highlight of our almost 3 weeks in Japan and Korea.

I'm Sho, your friendly local host here in Nagasaki. What captivates me most about Nagasaki is its rich history and multicultural coexistence. The blend of Japanese, Western, and Chinese flavors in our food culture never fails to amaze me, and exploring the unique landscapes of Nagasaki, fondly known as 'the city of slopes,' fills me with joy. You'll often find me enjoying a cup of coffee at my favorite local coffee shop or wandering along the stairways of our sloped mountains, soaking in the beauty of our city. When I was 16 years old, I studied at a highschool in the USA as an exchange student for one year. More than 2, 000 students from all over the world were studying under the same program and it was a great experience for me to learn about the different cultures of the world through talking with them. I still like to travel and make trips several times a year, domestic and overseas, whenever I am not playing tennis. During my career, I welcomed numbers of important business clients and colleagues from overseas and it was my duty to show them the history, culture and beauty of port town Nagasaki, surrounded by beautiful nature. It was a great joy for me, just as guiding a good old friends from the distant who took trouble to visit Nagasaki to see me! Portown of Nagasaki has a very unique landscape, the port being surrounded by mountains. If you climb up one of the mountains, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the port where international cruise ship is docked almost everyday. Nagasaki is located at the west end of Japan and closest to Asian Continent (and to Europe also) and this again brought a very unique feature to Nagasaki's history as once "sole international trading port in Japan" during the national seclusion period. After retirement, I started to host international tourists. It is my great joy to talk with them and show them the beauty of my beloved hometown of Nagasaki.
Exploring hidden spots and learning the stories behind them always excites me. Whether it’s a well-known landmark or a tucked-away gem, there’s always something new to discover. I enjoy trying different local foods, from famous dishes to lesser-known treats, and I’m always on the lookout for unique flavors. I know Nagasaki City inside and out, from its rich historical sites to charming, undiscovered corners. If you're looking for a mix of history, culture, and delicious food, I’d love to show you around!
What I love most about Nagasaki is its beautiful landscape with hills, sea, and city blending together in a way you won’t find anywhere else in Japan. I’m also passionate about food, especially Nagasaki’s local and one-of-a-kind dishes. I enjoy doing food crawls and have a personal list of hidden food gems that I love introducing to visitors. When I’m not eating my way around the city, you’ll often find me fishing and enjoying the calm of local life. I know areas like Hamanomachi, Kanko-dori, Peace Park, and Suwa Jinja very well, and I’m especially knowledgeable about Nagasaki’s history, football culture, and everyday local life. I look forward to exploring the city together at a relaxed and enjoyable pace.
