I am Freelance Tour Guide
I was born about 30 minutes away from Venice, I moved there when I was a teenager and started working in tourism. When I was 22 I decided to leave and I came back when I was 32. I lived in Malaga ( Spain ) for some years, then Florence, then onboard cruise ships, then Malaga again, Berlin, and finally decided to come back to Venice and started my own business - I am a freelance tour leader since 2014 and I wouldn't live anywhere else now, I love my city and my job!
Benny was WONDERFUL! Had an amazing time seeing the iconic sites, laced with personal touches and insights that were very special and gave a human touch to Venice. My guide was well connected and beloved, where we had interactions with vendors, markets and water taxis, etc. - so I felt like I was a Venetian for a day. Most importantly, I gained the confidence I needed to explore the city with ease, for the remainder of my trip! Thank you so much Benny and City Unscripted!

One of the best decisions we made on this trip was to have a private tour of Venice led by Benedetta. She is very warm and friendly, and clearly she is passionate about Venice. Prior to our trip she was gracious enough to answer several question I had about the area and that helped me plan better. We had a really great time. Thanks Benedetta!

Benedetta met us at our hotel for a four-hour private walking tour of Venice. As a local (born and bred) Benedetta displayed a great deal of knowledge of the history and culture of Venice. We ambled around going where we wanted and seeing more besides. We’d opted for this tour on Day 1 of our trip, primarily to source inside knowledge of the sights to visit, how to avoid the queues and the best locations to eat/drink and take a ‘romantic’ Gondola ride. That evening we ate at a fantastic seafood restaurant (Al Colombo) in the quiet back-streets close to Rialto Bridge. The following day, we took Benedetta’s advice and headed to the quieter Jewish Quarter (Cannaregio) after a lovely Gondola ride in San Toma area. This tour was an excellent way to see the city at an easy pace and gain an insider’s knowledge of the city and its sights. Thoroughly recommended!
