My name is Conor Hegarty, and I am an experienced, fully qualified Irish tourist guide and a member of the Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland (ATGI). I love meeting new people to show them around my city where I have lived and worked all of my life. My walks are light-hearted and introduce people to the Irish sense of humor while taking in some Irish history. I particularly like to tell people about the nicknames we have for our various statues and monuments around the city. As well as walking tours of the city, I also love to bring tourists to Howth close to where I live. Howth is a lovely fishing village about 10 miles from the city centre, a short train or bus ride. Howth is steeped in history going back centuries with tales of Vikings and Anglo Norman invaders and our feisty pirate queen, Grace O’Malley.
