While visiting my son and his family in Australia (I am a New Yorker) my daughter-in-law surprised me and my son with a full day walking tour of Sydney. She booked the tour through City Unscripted, and we we were fortunate enough to be assigned to Peter Sullivan. As it was a surprise, we were almost completely unprepared, except to be told to wear comfortable shoes. Peter knew we were in the dark, so, communicated exact meeting instructions that morning, while remaining discrete. He found us lost near, but not at, the meeting place, and took us in hand. Finally, we learned what the day would look like, and Peter asked us to confirm the interests he was told we had by my daughter-in-law. Apparently, even though he had prepared the tour in advance according to the information he was given, he was able to tweak the day to make sure we would get the most out of the adventure. He was also completely flexible about when and where we ate and took breaks. I could go through our tour here, but suffice it to say that he was a terrific guide, full of knowledge of the history and architecture of the city, was able to answer most of our questions, and if not, we looked things up while stoping for coffee. The day ended with a ferry ride out to Manly Beach and back. He was a fantastic leader, getting us seats on the most scenic side of the boat, but where we would not get soaked from the spray. It was a delightful ride and full of sites. Unlike a few teachers and tour guides I have experienced, Peter only talked about himself when I asked a direct question. This tour was most certainly not about him, but rather, very much about Sydney, a city that he clearly loves and is proud of. I recommend Peter, as walking tour guide, most emphatically. We had a great and fulsome day. And, because we were staying in Sydney several more days, we actually knew our way around when on our own. We knew the landmarks, how to navigate the light rail system and the ferry system, and even our way through the downtown streets, and the highlights of Sydney Harbor. I am new to Manchester and I decided to arrange a 4-hour private tour of the city to understand its layout, main attractions and history. Kevin was my tourguide and he exceeded my expectations. Kevin walked me to all main landmarks, explained the fascination history of Manchester, but also the life in this great city. I was blown away by how many library, museums, history there is in Manchester, but also by the variety of neighbourhoods. Kevin is very engaging, knowledgeable and charming. He gave many tips about places to visit on my own. I very much enjoyed my tour with him. I could have not asked for a better first introduction to Manchester.

Michelle was fantastic. She is a great communicator and was very accommodating about a slight meeting time change for our family’s walking tour. She has a deep and impressive understanding of Munich, Bavarian and German history. It is obvious she loves leading tours and she is one of the best I’ve had—she is engaging and sincere and not corny or artificial in trying to make connections with the group members which I really appreciated. Would absolutely book her again.

This was an excellent experience. I had the great honor of being guided by Bruce who has been living in Fukuoka for more than 20 years and has made a significant impact on the modern Yatai food scene. He was very professional and fun. He explained and showed me the true essence of Fukuoka which helped me further understand its local culture. I am a big history and culture person, so I had an absolutely stellar time. Highly recommend this tour and please ask for Bruce if you are interested in the Yatai!

We did the food tour with Stefan and had a great time. The tour was personalised, following a pre-tour survey, which meant he took us to a variety of places, and we discovered food we\'d never have found ourselves. He was incredibly knowledgeable, but also relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed SO much food, including a tea tasting, time at the China Town Hawker, and incredible cocktails at the Witches Brew bar.

We had an amazing tour of Istanbul today with our guide, Ipek. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made the city’s rich history and culture come alive with her storytelling. Maeve is enthusiastic and knows many interesting tidbits of Melbournes . While walking to many interesting parts of the city to see historic sites we greatly enjoyed Maeve’s inside stories less known and her sincere love of her homeland .

Olga was a dream of a tour guide. From the second we got linked with her via email she started emailing with ideas and itinerary items. We travelled with 2 small kids (8/10 yo) and she was patient with them needing breaks from walking. She easily accommodated their food requests. When crossing the street she always made sure they were safe. My kids instantly felt comfortable with her.
