Maria did a wonderful job on our foodie tour of Buenos Aries
Shaan was absolutely incredible. I am actually a very meticulous trip planner who hates going on tours. The "peppy coca cola sweet American cheerleader tour guide experience is my worst nightmare. However, I had an unexpected layover in Japan and thus arrived in Osaka/Kyoto with no plans, no research, no knowledge. To get myself around I booked a small tour at the last minute for my first day and ended up with Shaan.
Shaan's style is not one of "tourism" but rather felt like walking with a old friend through the streets of Kyoto. A truly relaxing and lovely (and informative) experience, very suitable for the quiet and gentle atmosphere of Kyoto. I very much enjoyed her company and also her thoughtfulness. Even though she was my tour guide for two hours on the first day, she sent me an email with an itinerary for my remaining time in Kyoto that gave me a truly magical and local experience. She also lent me a jacket as I had not packed for March
Alex led a wonderful tour for 7 of us. He had a huge base of local and Portugal knowledge that he was happy to share with us.
