I’ve lived in Fukuoka for 25 years
I speak English, Japanese
I am a English teacher
I’m interested in food, especially seafood. One of my favourite places to enjoy a Japanese lunch is Dazaifu Tenman-gu. I’m also interested in the tea ceremony, and I’ve been trying to learn all about it. I enjoy visiting temples and shrines. The city is surrounded by rivers and mountains and it's close to the sea, so you're never too far from a peaceful place. I can also take you to trendy places to shop and around well-known landmarks like Fukuoka Tower, to see a full view of the city. Fukuoka is famous for its food, especially the seafood- which is cheap and delicious! I'd be happy to show you to a street food market where you can try some or even a local street ramen shop or two. The locals are friendly and welcoming so be prepared to feel right at home.
