Experience the best of Fukuoka from futuristic parks to sacred shrines and glorious ramen, we'll cram in the Fukuoka you want to see!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Eight hours in a city as lively as Fukuoka doesn’t seem like much, but with a local insider (and the caffeine buzz from your extra-smooth flannel drip coffee), you’ll pack in more than you ever thought possible. From cheering on the float-races at the annual Yamakasa Festival – and praying for eternal youth at the Kushida Shrine well – to marveling at stately Tōchō-ji and its great Buddha statue, see the temples and shrines that put the city on the map. Maybe you’ll take the railway less traveled 30 minutes out to the sleepy seaside of Itoshima, or explore the city’s up-and-coming otaku scene in the backstreets of Tenjin. And when hunger strikes? You’re just a vending machine ticket away from a bowl of Fukuoka’s famous tonkotsu ramen.

Our guide was Mike. He was excellent. Very communicative knowledgeable and informative. We were very tired and weee able to tailor the tour to our liking. Great experience.
Show moreEli was an excellent tour host and made for an excellent experience of the area. I will give a five star review. She was flexible and showed us interesting places. The fact that she was a native English speaker was great. Took us to interesting places based on her personal knowledge of the area. Knowledgeable, friendly and respectful tour guide.

Show moreThe trip was completely customisable and Eli (our guide) was amazing. She put together all the things that we wanted to do while explaining the Japanese culture and art forms. It was an enriching afternoon and we enjoyed visiting temples, shrines, besides trying our hand at doll making. We also found an amazing vegetarian place to have lunch. Thank you Eli for the great experience
Show moreEli was awesome. She helped us understand Japanese culture and practices and let us enjoy the day at our pace and in the manner in which we wanted. She also helped us find good vegetarian food
Show moreWe had a wonderful day exploring Fukuoka. Bruce showed us places nearby to our hotel. We could ask questions and learn about history, culture. Bruce showed us good places to eat. After an authentic Japanese lunch we got on the train n visited a park. Walking through the hundreds of cherry blossom trees was like being in a fairytale…just magical. I will never forget my first day in Japan. A truely amazing experience.
