I've lived in Tokyo for 9 years. I like meeting people (my family and friends say sometimes I'm too friendly). I lived in UK for 2.5 years, many of my friends I met there told me how amazing Japan/Japanese culture was for them. I had never thought that our culture was so different and fascinating, attractive for people from the other countries at that time, but now I think I know what are great things in Tokyo, and I want to share them with people who love Japan and travel to this far eastern country to see/feel it. I love walking around the city, relaxing in a park/gardens (I know nice small/big Japanese gardens), going to cafes and restaurants, and vintage markets. As for restaurants (sushi, okonomiyaki, Japanese BBQ, ramen, nabe, Japanese food lunch...), I know good places from casual ones to posh ones. I also love shopping. If you want to experience girls shopping, find nice souvenirs or Japanese things, I am happy to join you!

I moved to Tokyo because of my love for Japanese Culture...I am a European who has lived in here for 20 years. I am “your Local” in this very exciting great city. Happy to make your vacation the most interesting and creative one, since I am also a promoter of the “Intercultural” lifestyle. So, I am happy to explain to you many aspects and tradition of the old and modern Japanese lifestyle. Happy to show you also the Tokyo`s coolest neighbourhoods (near the sea and the mountain) that not many tourists know about

After spending my 18 years of my life in Gunma, I moved to Yokohama for my college. That was the phase where I realized how much I love traveling and exposing myself to different cultures. I spent half a year in the US, and one year in the Netherlands. I've worked at a guesthouse in Nakano for about a year where I loved to meet and talk with people from various backgrounds. I'm always curious about how travelers find Japanese culture; it gives me different perspectives. I have traveled quite a few myself and it was always the people that made my trip the best. I think traveling in Japan could be hard when you do not understand Japanese. Maybe it's not hard but you would be able to experience more when you do or at least you are with someone who does... Well here I am, I'd love to help you experience more and feel at home here in Japan.

I am Australian, from Sydney and I have lived in Tokyo for 10 years. I also spent 2014 and 2015 living in San Francisco where I went to culinary school. I love to cook and eat! I also have a restaurant in Nishiazabu. My husband and children are Japanese, they are native speakers and I am doing my best to catch up! I love to visit art galleries and travel remote Japan. I take weekly Japanese painting (sumi-e) lessons and one of my hobbies is to buy antique kimonos and turn them into wall hanging quilts.
