Hello, my name is Zarina, and I study environmental science in Sapporo. I like this city, as it is full of modern life, but surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains. I like everything about nature and culture — traditional japanese theater, hiking, spending time in the zoo with my friends’ kids and search for traces of past life on river stones. I am a «vintage shopaholic», so I know almost all major flea markets in the city — on one of them I bought my favorite japanese flute.

I really enjoyed the tour with our guide Zarina! We’ve got to visit most important sights and she showed us some hidden areas. I particularly enjoyed sake and fresh tuna tasting. Thank you so much!

Zarina was well informed and gave us a lot of interesting information and history regarding otaru. She was very adaptable given the bad weather and has a great sense of humor as well. She gave useful recommendations for Sapporo dining as well.
