Odori Park, the Sapporo Beer Museum and Sapporo secrets spilled.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Sapporo, Japan’s resident cool kid – the one who loves beer and goes skiing every winter – is a must-see city for way too many reasons to squeeze into just four hours, but with a local host as a GPS and guidebook, you’ll easily pack the most into your time. Perhaps you’ll get a fascinating history lesson at the Historical Village of Hokkaidō, or maybe you’ll ride to the top of the famous Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium like an athlete from Sapporo’s 1972 Winter Olympics. Wind down in neon-lit entertainment district Susukino for a drink at your host’s favorite izakaya, or make your way to Horomitoge Lavender Garden – a sprawling, lavender-blanketed lookout point with sunset views that are pure perfection.

Had a wonderful time with Zarina walking around Sapporo. She had wonderful knowledge of the area and we learned so much about the culture there and how different it was from the rest of Japan! I absolutely loved the city and would definitely go back. The local beer, sake, ramen, and fried chicken we got to taste helped.
Show moreWe had a lovely city tour with Shiunn. Despite the rainy weather, we saw a good amount of Sapporo, and Shiunn adapted our tour accordingly. We enjoyed learning about the city and exploring the underground tunnels. Shiunn also provided wonderful food recommendations. No better way to get acquainted with a foreign city than a City Unscripted tour. The local guides are so knowledgeable and provide a personal, casual tour. Would highly recommend and big thumbs up to Shiunn as well!
Show moreWe really enjoyed the time spent with Akihiro. We are grateful for the activities we engaged in. Getting to the Hokkaido-jingu sanctuary, the beautiful forest in the Maruyama Park, the climb along the Okurayama Ski Jump, the Clock Tower, and the conversation with Akihiro in front of a Sapporo Sorachi 1984!
Show moreWe enjoyed our time with Ryuki. He tailored the tour to what we were interested in and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Ask him about the best ramen place in Sapporo when you take your tour.
Show moreLeo is such an awesome guide and easy to talk to, very knowledgeable in the area. We got to see the shrine, cherry blossoms, and went to a local restaurant. Curry soup is the best. We enjoyed the scenery at the park and specialty shops. We are grateful and blessed that we had this tour. Ask for Leo for your guide tour when you visit Sapporo.
