Full day in Sapporo with a local

My family had a great time with Karina in Sapporo. One thing that really makes a tour great is when the guide's love of their area really shines through. We greatly appreciated Karina's joy in describing Sapporo's history (including the Ainu indigenous people), its plants and animals, seasons, and everything else that came up. In addition to seeing many historical buildings and parks and gardens, she took us to one of her favorite restaurants where we had delicious curry soup. It was a great day, and she left us with wonderful ideas of where to go explore next.

A very thorough and enjoyable walking tour of Sapporo. Our guide Zarina was knowledgeable and very informative. She made a real effort to find out what interested us and what we wanted to see. We feel that we have seen the major sites in Sapporo and have a better sense of Hokkaido history.

What a great tour on a lovey sunny day. I did several tours on Hokkaido but Shiunn as guide was by very very far the best guide across the board. She convinced with a very good planning, adapted to my wishes, the weather, the special things you can only include if you are proactive and truly interested to deliver a great experience to your guest. I saw the cherry blossoms blooming and also got so much insights into culture, nature, history and daily life thanks to Shiunn as guide. Great tour. even greater guide. Thank you.

We only had one full day in Sapporo, so we wanted to make the most of it. We went on a 6 hour excursion around the city, touring some of the historical landmarks, the beer museum, and a great Ramen spot. Shiunn made us feel like touring the city with a friend, albeit a knowledgable one. When she didn’t know something, she wasn’t afraid to help us find the answer and have a conversation on why that event/thing was the way it was. It was extremely helpful to have someone like Shiunn show us the best spots and help us navigate a new city. Overall, would definitely recommend the tour for a great taste of what Sapporo has to offer.

We were were shown places where we don not expect to see on our own like the tunnel were most people pass through, the markets and tasted the mochi in Maruyama park and the delicious Hokaido curry soup. Emilio gave us a wonderful time.

Toru had good local k pledge of Sapporo, especially the food. I enjoyed eating the Japanese food specifically to Sapporo’s local cuisine. They were in areas only a local would know and was delicious. We visited other local common tourist areas and made some great photos and experiences. The weather was not the most ideal, but Toru was flexible and I was able to get the most out of the day. I got to know the local area better and insights to see/explore other things if I was interested. Would definitely do another tour with Toru again in the future.
