We very much enjoyed our full-day, private tour of Hong Kong with Victor. With only one day to spend in Hong Kong, time was well spent, seeing the city’s many highlights and local spots as well. Victor was an excellent guide. He knew so much about the areas, the history, some back street and unique places and also showed us how to get around the city using the MTR card (we got the Octopus - it was the smart decision). We learned a lot, saw so much in the 4 hour tour and would recommend him. Note - some things you can do on your own, so use the tour wisely as it was private.

We spent the day with Alfred who was absolutely fantastic and so knowledgeable! He shared everything he could with us as we experienced Hong Kong for the first time. We saw a ton in our day together and had asked Alfred ahead of time to simply plan what he thought we would to see. He did not disappoint and we could not be more thrilled with the time we were able to spend with him. We ended up using the train/subway quite a bit which is very easy to navigate and set us up with confidence the next day for a group tour that relied on some subway action. The thing that made Alfred truly special beyond his knowledge and kindness was he took pics of my husband and I throughout the entire tour on his own accord and bundled/airdropped to me when we said our goodbyes. Couple of tips - good walking shoes, the city is such a lovely and walkable city. Have HKD on hand for taxis (most only take cash) and snacks. We flew in on a 15 hour flight the night before and being exhausted had no time to get local currency. Alfred was gracious enough to front until we hit an ATM.

Amazing!!! Thank you Alfred for the perfect "real" Hong Kong tour - giving my family a taste of Hong Kong life away from the usual touristy spots. Alfred started with with careful consultation of what we wanted to see and then tailored an itinerary to fit those requests. However, he was also flexible on the day and tweaked some of the tour which was just spot on. Highly recommended :-)

Alfred is an extremely knowledgeable and engaging guide. He introduced us to places and aspects of Hong Kong that we doubt we would have encountered on a "standard" tour, certainly not the hop on hop off bus. He made a concerted effort to make a plan that reflected our interests, and delivered it. Took loads of great photographs for us we would would never otherwise have had.

Alfred was a great guide - took very good care of us, was attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our personalized walking tour with Dennis. He was very responsive with communication ahead of time to plan our itinerary. He made sure we were able to experience local transportation such as the tram and ferry. We tasted some local tarts and had lunch at a wonderful noodle shop. We loved hearing about the different areas of the city.

Dennis was a treat & we felt like we had a personal friend in Hong Kong showing us around, rather than a guide. He was engaging and accommodating and we saw so much. Totally customised and insightful highly recommended

Benny was absolutely fantastic! He took a simple market food tour, and turned it into a multi-hour tour of local neighborhoods and local eating places. Engaging conversation throughout, and a great pace that matched mine.

This was a great food tour where we got to taste several variations of street food. The tour was nicely tailored to our preferences. Our guide, Benny was nice and friendly and told us interesting facts about Hong Kong and the food scene. The tour involved quite a lot of walking so if that is not your thing (we enjoyed it) this may not be the right option for you.

We had the BEST time with Benny! We were only in Hong Kong for 36 hours, and in that time I feel that we were able to see a small glimpse into the REAL Hong Kong, beyond the tourist zones (which, to be fair, are also fabulous - HK is a terrific city and impressed us all around). We ate some incredible bites across many different neighborhoods while walking and talking about everything we were seeing. It is clear that Benny and City Unscripted truly love Hong Kong and want to share it with visitors. Benny reached out a week or so before our visit to confirm preferences and allergies, and made sure to follow up on our requests and specifics during the tour. He was so knowledgeable and fun, and again I cannot stress enough how much we loved our four hour tour, and the many steps we got in! If you do one thing in Hong Kong, let it be this!

Excellent tour with Benny. The questionnaire before the tour allowed the guide to cater the tour towards your interests. I had limited time in Hong Kong so it was the ideal tour for me.

Karen was our tour guide, and the focus of the highlights tour was local orientation in Hong Kong. She did an excellent job helping us navigate trains and trolleys while introducing us to key areas we could easily return to on our own. We visited major local sites, including a shrine and a jailhouse museum, and walked through antique alleyways and food markets. A quick bathroom stop along the way was appreciated. A real bonus was Karen’s clear, step-by-step instructions for getting to the Peak Tram. The directions were spot-on and gave us the confidence to make the trip independently. One consideration for future participants is walking pace. Those who don’t live in walking-focused cities may find the pace faster than expected, reflecting the rhythm of a busy urban environment. This is worth noting on the request form when signing up. This was not a tour guide issue—simply an age-related consideration for us.

I've been lucky enough to visit Hong Kong at least 5 times before this, and I was super surprised that our tour guide, Karen, took my family and me through streets I'd never seen! Karen knew so much about Hong Kong's past and present, and I got to see some familiar spots and new ones! Karen listened to everything we wanted to do and made it all happen in the 6 hours we had with her. She was so friendly right from the start, which made us feel totally comfortable. I highly recommend Karen; she'll definitely show you the best of Hong Kong.

Excellent day and well worth every penny. Malin was lovely and she was very knowledgeable about Hong Kong in general and knew how best to get round the city at minimum cost which was fantastic. We walked around the city seeing much of the highlights at a good relaxed pace, stopped for lunch in a local spot which was great and food was delicious, local diner style. All round excellent day.

We loved our personalized walking tour with Regene. Since it was the start of our trip, we wanted a general overview of Hong Kong, and she tailored everything perfectly to match our interests. She showed us how to use the subway and ding ding, guided us through markets, temples, and local food spots, and sharing history and cultural insight. Donald was fluent in English and also in the lore of Hong Kong. We wanted to see some areas where locals are living, and also eat local food, along with some history and political explanations. He did just what we hoped and made our objectives his priority. We took a tram a couple of times, but also walked a lot. Great day in Hong Kong!

Cosmos was a great guide! We had arrived in Hong Kong that afternoon and weren't comfortable navigating the city on our own yet, so he met us at our hotel and taught us the Metro system which was great! We had a really fun evening exploring all the markets and sampling lots of local street food!

Nik was knowledgeable of Hong Kong and had brought me to the places that I wanted to visit. She knows a lot about the city and is knowledgeable of the culture, people, and even shared fun facts about the buildings, food, transportation of Hong Kong. An added bonus was getting a quick dim sum bite at the end-- this wasn't part of the initial tour itinerary, but was something I had wanted to do, so I was we were able to incorporate as part of the tour. If anyone is visiting HK and is looking for a guide, Nik would be a great guide to take people around.

Nick was amazing. He gave very detailed explanations about the history and different parts of Hong Kong, as well as recommendations.

The host was extremely knowledgeable. They spent a great time accommodating to our requests of the things we wanted to see. It was a great experience.

We loved the day with Hans so much. We had no idea what Hong Kong had to offer or what to see, so we left it up to Hans to create a full day of sightseeing, history and discovery and he didn't disappoint. From hidden restaurants with authentic cuisine, to the best view of Hong Kong from the peak and everything in between, Hans delivered the best experience of Hong Kong someone could experience. We had so much fun, took lots of selfies and saw Flamingoes?? Something I didnt expect. Hans knowledge of Hong Kong is second to none and I cant recommend him enough.

Nice tour, specially bcs it was our first time in HK. So we got to have an experienced tour guide who showed us the main parts of the city always taking care of what would be more interesting for us to know.
