Savor Hong Kong's flavors on a 4-hour private tour with a local foodie, tasting 6-8 exquisite dishes in the city's culinary hotspots.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You’ll join one of our hosts to eat, drink and explore the city as a Crazy Rich Asian would! In down-to-earth Kowloon, you’ll soon discover that even a millionaire would trade in the bright lights and Michelin-starred restaurants of the Island for the right plate of noodles from their favorite street food joint. They’re really that good.
Begin your experience feasting on the same street foods that Rachel and Nick enjoy together on screen - like egg tarts, pineapple buns, and fish balls. Munch on the go as you discover the secrets of this enthralling neighborhood with your local Hong Kong host.
You’ll also visit a cha chaan teng (a small, localized, and laid-back restaurant) where locals regularly eat when they’re moving and grooving around. Continue to tickle your tastebuds with some of Hong Kong’s most authentic dishes, like yang zhou fried rice, a dish containing egg, bbq pork, beans, and shrimp fried together with rice.
Wrap up your thrilling adventure with the taste of the high life (you know, the crazy rich one), and soak in the panoramic city views from a lavish sky-high bar while treating yourself to a cocktail - the best kind of dessert.

Very organized pre tour experience with Urban Adventures. You fill out a questionnaire and an experienced local will plan your outing. I opted to stay within Kowloon area due to short time in HK and wanted to relax in my hotel prior to heading to airport. The local hole in the wall restaurants were amazing. I especially enjoyed a dim sum breakfast, walked along Nathan Road, went to Tin Hau Temple, The old Police HQ, Jade Market (bought a gorgeous jade ring, reasonably priced from an old Uncle), had delicious fish and preserved egg congee for lunch, amazing sugar cane juice and for my last stop, Victoria Harbor after strolling thru Kowloon Park. My local foodie guide was Ms. Karen Yan. Karen's very knowledgeable about the delicious eats around Mongkok area, very personable and truly a delight to spend my morning with. She was prompt meeting me at my hotel lobby (Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok). I especially loved the Tin Hau Temple as the experience was truly magical. I participated in the praying ritual and left feeling happy. The Jade Market was another fun experience. I opted to wander around (did not like Sandra#152 stall) but instead stumbled across an older gentleman in his 70s with a modest collection of exquisitely carved jade rings featuring a double dragon design. I spent some time chatting with Sook Sook ( Uncle in Cantonese) with Karen's help translating. Needless to say, I lucked out having Karen as my companion for the day. She's just awesome! Thank you for planning a wonderful Sunday morning with me. One feedback to the tour company is to start earlier in the day during summer time like at 8am. The earliest start date was 9am thru the booking site, Viator.
Show moreDennis, my food expert, took me to restaurants in Kawloon that makes Hong Kong a foodies paradise. If you love to try Hong Kong authentic and delicious food, book this experience.
Show moreOur guide Pinky was a very friendly & happy person and knowledgeable about Hong Kong and gladly answered all our questions. However we expected to visit more food places and try more local cuisine. We walked and walked throughout the markets, but we would have liked to try the food at street market rather than the chain restaurants we stopped at. I felt tour was very overpriced for what it was.
Show moreWe had the most incredible experience on our private food walking tour with Pinky in Hong Kong. From the moment we met, she made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely excited for the journey ahead. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, showcasing not just famous must-try dishes, but also hidden gems that only a true local expert would know. From bustling street stalls to cozy, tucked-away eateries, every bite told a story about Hong Kong’s rich culture and history. Pinky shared fascinating insights and personal anecdotes that brought each neighborhood and dish to life. We left not just with full stomachs, but with a deeper appreciation for Hong Kong’s traditions, people, and vibrant energy. If you’re looking for an authentic, personalized, and truly special way to experience Hong Kong’s food scene, look no further — Pinky is the absolute best.
Show moreWe booked a walking food tour with city unscripted Hong Kong, which lasted for three hours. Benny was our guide and reached out to us prior to meeting to discuss our preferences, food, allergies, and any other issues we might have. Professional, knowledgeable and accommodating, the perfect host. He was at the arranged meeting place, and we have to give him extra credit for informing us that our cruise ship was not coming into the docking port that we were originally told by our cruise line. Meeting up with seamless. While we arranged for this private tour for the two of us, I would recommending taking a party of 4 to 6 since we had so much food we could not possibly finish at all. Started with a short walk and a sit down BBQ restaurant, where we sampled the goose,BBQ & roasted pork. We shared the dishes and they were all served with rice and vegetables. Our next stop was a custard tart store, which is one of the most popular in the area. We had a walk-through the night market looking at all the various foods, but opted not to try anything there since we were pretty full already. We also had a short walk through the ladies market in that area. Everything you buy on Amazon was available at the stalls. The next restaurant was another local eatery where we sampled the oyster omelette, and local mantis shrimp. Benny wanted to order more food, but frankly, we were getting pretty full and so had plenty of leftovers at this restaurant. Our final stop was a dessert restaurant which has had a Michelin star for the last 7 to 8 years. At first, we told Benny that we were going to pass because we were so full but we did stop and sample three dishes. One of them was my favorite dish of the night Benny had us back to our ship in time to watch the Hong Kong light show at 8 o’clock. He was professional, educated and we had a wonderful time with him during our short tour. So how many times did I say we were so full? :-). It’s a great personal tour for 2, but can easily accommodate more as long as they are friends who enjoy the same eating experiences.
