Regene, our tour guide, was wonderful! She asked us what we wanted to see and scheduled the tour around our interests. When we asked to see something different than the towering skyscrapers that define Hong Kong, Regene took us to a Buddist temple, Chi Lin Nunnery and it's garden. Serenity in the heart of the city. So happy not to have missed this gem. Thanks to Regene, we got to experience an iconic Hong Kong ritual, Villain Hitting. Incense and drama, and a lot of fun. An excellent tour and a great night in Hong Kong. Thanks, Regene.

Regene is the best! Personable, friendly, and patient with two old ladies who had no idea what they wanted to see. Regene took us to 1. Chi Lin Nunnery, a stunning contrast to the towering skyscrapers of Hong Kong. Serenity in the middle of the city, beautiful. 2. Villain hitting, where we got to experience an iconic Hong Kong ritual. A little slice of drama that yes, did bring me luck because I fiund some treasures shopping in 3. Causeway Bay. Thanks to Regene we had a great night in Hong Kong.

Regene was friendly and approachable. After some initial confusion/miscommunication, our itinerary, transportation and preferences were agreed upon. She was very considerate of our mix-age group and made sure everyone was comfortable. We chatted throughout Kowloon about the people, food, and lifestyle. It was an enjoyable evening.

Benny was absolutely fantastic! He took a simple market food tour, and turned it into a multi-hour tour of local neighborhoods and local eating places. Engaging conversation throughout, and a great pace that matched mine.

Dennis took us to a bunch of treacle good restaurants and street vendors. His background as a chef made him exceptionally insightful and able to tell us about the various cooking techniques used.

What you’ll do

You’ll join one of our food-loving Hong Kong hosts to explore Hong Kong's food culture in the heart of the colorful Kowloon neighborhood. Game changer - you’ll do so after dark. Lit by thousands of neon signs, this lively district really comes alive when the sun sets and with a name that means ‘9 dragons’, it’s no surprise.

See the most incredible views of the Symphony of Lights and Hong Kong Island’s skyline over the water before your host guides you through the maze of streets that make up this exciting area.

Eat your way around traditional night markets where vendors sell all the classics like steamed crab, cheung fun (chewy rice noodles), siu mai (a street version of a steamed dim sum classic), and fried octopus tentacles - this is where you’ll find some of the best food in the city!

Head to Dundas Street and explore the gaai, or back alleys, where you’ll find tiny bars selling drinks ranging from herbal medicines to beers!

When you are done, why not grab a seat at one of the bars with your host who will share local secrets with you, like where the locals go at 5 am to eat fried squid balls after a night of partying, and where the best underground clubs are.
