Mark , private guide in Hong Kong

HELLO, I’M MARK

I live in Chaiwan, on the east side of Hong Kong Island.
I work in all over city.
I hang out in Sheungwan and Sai Ying Pun, Causeway Bay and Waichai, Yau Ma Tei.

About me

Nei Ho (“Hello” in Cantonese). I’m Mark and welcome to my lovely hometown Hong Kong where I was born and lived for over 30 years! It is a small and crowded city but I never get tired of hanging around as there are many hidden spots and local gems worth to explore. Don’t be terrified of the fast-paced lifestyle when you get here, it is just a reflection of the city's rich blend of cultures, colonial history, inherited Chinese traditions, renowned harbour view, incredible skyline, breathtaking natural sights, foodie paradise, and bustling nightlife. Perhaps we can take on a street food or bargaining challenge at a local market. I'd love to teach you a few phrases of basic Cantonese to make your trip more interesting. Sometimes I work as a community docent leading the locals around old town area and exploring the treasures of heritage. I’ve had short stays at Beijing, Tokyo and Toronto in the past. For me, the most exciting travel destinations have been Kenya, Peru and North Korea. Being a traveler myself, I know travelling like a local is a wonderful way to explore the real sense of what life is like in the city and to get an authentic experience breaking through the tourist bubble. I’d love to share the insider's view of the city with its past, present and future. Enjoy your stay here and hope we can make it feel like a second home.
