Odaiba is a family-friendly haven in Tokyo with endless fun for kids and adults alike! Your host will have all the insider tips and tricks.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Odaiba is a family-friendly area, and we often spend our weekends there because there are so many activity choices for kids! The fun starts and doesn't end on this experience, and your host will have all the insider knowledge to make sure you feel like a kid yourself. So, let's dive in.
Kick things off at the futuristic Yurikamome, Shinbashi Station. This monorail station is like stepping into a sci-fi movie. The sleek trains glide smoothly above the streets, offering panoramic city views as they whisk you toward our next destination. I always feel a rush of excitement as we leave the hustle of Shinbashi behind, heading toward the more playful side of Tokyo Bay. Keep an eye out before and after crossing the Rainbow Bridge - your host should have some spectacular sights for you to photograph!
Next up is a towering icon of Japanese pop culture – the Unicorn Gundam Statue at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. This 19.7-meter-tall behemoth is every bit as impressive as it sounds. Standing beneath it, I can't help but feel like a kid again, marveling at its sheer scale and intricate design.
Your next stop is the Poop Museum. Yes, you read that right. This spot is an unexpectedly delightful and quirky experience. Located in Odaiba, this museum is dedicated to everything poop-related but in the cutest, most Instagrammable way possible. From poop-themed games to colorful, interactive exhibits, this place is all about fun and laughter. Your host will know all about this poop-themed wonder and the most fun games there. However, I recommend you keep an eye out for a little pastel gem (you'll know it once you see it).
After all that excitement, it's time for a sweet treat. Decora Creamery is where you'll find the fluffiest, most colorful cotton candy you've ever seen. This isn't just any cotton candy; it's a rainbow masterpiece that tastes as good as it looks. It's almost too pretty to eat, but trust me, you won't be able to resist. Listen to your host's recommendations, as there are some magical wonders to taste and explore here.
By now, you'll be ready for something more substantial, and there's nothing better than a hearty bowl of ramen. Ramen Kokugikan offers some of the best ramen in Tokyo, with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Your host will have recommendations for all the best shoyu, miso, and tonkotsu you need to try. It's the kind of meal that warms your soul and recharges your energy for more adventures. Don't skip out on the marinated eggs and bamboo shoots, as I believe they elevate every dish.
Your final stop is the retro-themed Daiba Ichome Shotengai. This shopping street recreates the nostalgic atmosphere of the Showa era. It's a blast from the past with vintage shops, quirky stores, and plenty of arcade games. I love wandering through here, finding unique souvenirs, and reliving a slice of old-school Japan. Play some fun arcade games with your host to relive your childhood. It's the perfect end to a beautiful journey.
And there you have it – a whirlwind tour of some of Tokyo's most fun and unique spots. Each stop offers a different flavor of the city, from high-tech wonders to nostalgic delights. I hope you enjoy this adventure as much as I always do. Happy exploring!

Alberto was exceptional! He took us to great places, told us about the history and culture of Tokyo and Japan, found exceptional photo spots and lunch/dinner places. One of our best days in a fantastic South Korea and Japan trip!
Show moreChisato is a wonderful tour guide! She is very flexible and accommodating. We had a short time in Tokyo but she helped us make the most of it by taking us to interesting and varied sites throughout the city. Thanks Chisato for an amazing time in Tokyo!
Show moreThe tailoring of our interests to the itinerary was great and made us feel very comfortable.
Show moreWas a fantastic day touring the city. Saw lots and learned so much! A really enjoyable day!
Show moreReally enjoyed this tour and our guide was great. One thing to note if you’re booking though, if doing less than a 3-4 hour tour, you won’t be able to do both Shibuya and Harajuku in that time. The description doesn’t say this so just be aware. And if you need to choose, go for Harajuku with maybe ending at the Shibuya crossing…that’s an experience not to be missed ;)
Show moreKyoko made this experience incredible for us. This was our first full day in Tokyo, so we wanted to get our trip started on a positive note. Kyoko far exceeded our expectations. She reached out to us several weeks before our arrival date to coordinate logistics (meeting us at our hotel), and creating a personalized experience for us. She gave us several options for our three hour tour, including neighborhoods we can explore based on our preferences. We aligned on the perfect combination of sights and shopping and local activities, and Kyoko provided such lovely insight. She was incredibly warm and inviting and so helpful, even showing us how to navigate the train system. She also took so many pictures of us! We couldn't have been happier!
