Kamakura’s crown jewel is the Amida Buddha at Kotoku-in, forged from bronze and exposed to the elements of this curious city.

I can not recommend this tour enough. It was made spectacular by our incredible tour guide, Firas. He was informative, helpful, accommodating and felt like family by the end of the day. Be warned there is a lot of walking but the sights are amazing and original. Thanks, Tamiko Ueda Heuer.

We wouldn’t have been able to navigate the transportation by train&bus to Kamakura and the walk to attractions ourselves with a toddler and baby in tow. Amir showed us the way seamlessly. He also brought his wife as extra help and both were great with my toddler. They were patient with our slow pace, helped us take our pictures, and brought us to a really good lunch spot.

I had an amazing day trip to Kamakura with an excellent tour guide, Kay!!! This was my last full day in Japan and an amazing day. I enjoyed going to the bamboo forest, I loved the big Buddha in Kamakura, I found unique art in Kamakura at an art gallery and I also got some good udon noodles for lunch. All in all it was an amazing day!!! Thanks Kay!!!!
