Dive into a whirlwind Tokyo adventure with a local insider. Get ready for a ride filled with excitement, discovery, and a touch of whimsy!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Get ready for an unforgettable Tokyo adventure, where every corner you turn offers something new and exciting! I adore Tokyo - it's for sure one of my favorite cities and there's always something new and fun to find there. Starting off at the iconic Hachiko Memorial Statue, you'll meet your local host – your personal guide to all things Tokyo. Hachiko's heartwarming story sets the stage for an experience full of hidden gems and fun.
First, you'll be diving straight into the chaos and thrill of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Imagine yourself in the middle of the world's busiest intersection, surrounded by a sea of people from all walks of life. As the traffic lights turn red, watch in awe as thousands of people surge across the street, a human wave moving in perfect harmony. I always say it's like a choreographed dance - just so in sync. Your host will share the coolest tidbits about this iconic spot and maybe even help you capture that perfect action shot.
Next, it's time to feast your eyes on Tokyo's latest craze – the 3D cat billboard. Picture a giant, lifelike cat leaping out at you from a digital screen, wowing everyone who passes by. This playful and mind-bending spectacle is a perfect example of Tokyo's knack for blending technology and whimsy. Your host will fill you in on the city's love for high-tech surprises, making sure you're in the know about all the cool stuff happening around you.
From there, switch gears and head to the Tokyo Metropolitan Building South Observatory. Get ready to be blown away by the jaw-dropping views of Tokyo's skyline. Up here, you can see the city stretch out endlessly, with landmarks like Tokyo Tower and even Mount Fuji gracing the horizon. Your host will point out the highlights and hidden gems, turning this scenic spot into an epic visual adventure. I love to take a breath here and just enjoy the views before carrying on.
Now, let's time-travel back to old-school Tokyo at Omoide Yokocho, also known as Memory Lane. This narrow alley is packed with tiny eateries and the nostalgic charm of post-war Japan. The sights, sounds, and smells here are simply enchanting. Your host will lead you to the best stalls, and trust me, you've got to try the ten-tama soba. Imagine slurping up a bowl of delicious noodles topped with crispy tempura and a perfectly soft-boiled egg – pure comfort in a bowl. As you eat, your host will share fascinating stories about the area, adding a rich layer of history to your culinary adventure.
Throughout the experience, your host is more than just a guide – they're your local insider, ready to tweak the experience to match your interests. Want to linger a bit longer at the crossing or find another cool tech spot? Just say the word! Make the most of this fun experience.
So, lace up your walking shoes, bring your curiosity, and get ready to uncover the magic of Tokyo with a local host who knows all the best spots. This isn't just sightseeing – it's about diving into the heart and soul of Tokyo, one exciting stop at a time! I hope you fall in love with Tokyo just like I did.

Tomo was the most lovely tour guide you could ask for. She was so well organised before and during the tour. We covered so many areas we were interested in, and that we never would have found without her. We give Tomo 10/10!
Show moreWe had a wonderful time walking and seeing so many different areas of the city. I highly recommend it.
Show moreI had a wonder time with Amir on a solo tour. He was as accommodating as could be, starting with picking me up at my hotel and explaining how to use the train and subway system during the rest of my stay in Tokyo. At my request, we started off my sight-seeing in Yanaka, which is one of the oldest parts of the city. The pedestrian streets were wonderful and I was impressed with how Amir knew all the little shops and alleys and even showed me his favorite hidden gem of a place for coffee. I was lucky enough to be in Tokyo for Sakura, the peak time for cherry blossoms. Amir knew the best spots to see them without being overwhelmed by too many tourists trying to see them at the same time. Although Amir is not born and bred Japanese, he is married to a Japanese woman and understands the culture very well. We chattered so much about all sorts of topics during my tour that by the end I felt I had not only learned a great deal about Japan but also had gained a new friend.
Show moreTwo days ago, we went on a walking city tour with Chiara. Despite the heavy rain, she made the experience truly exceptional. We managed to complete our list of things we wanted to see and even added some suggestions from Chiara along the way. She is professional, fun, and an all-around wonderful person. Book a day tour with her now; you won’t regret it.
Show moreMy tour with Veronica was wonderful. She walked me to so many wonderful sights, showed me how to take the trains around town and where to buy goodies to take home. She was full of information. Not only did she educate me on the proper way to enter and leave a shrine but she explained why. It was 4 hours worth every minute! Highly recommend her as a guide!
