Mari was an incredible guide

Mari made our time so special. She went above and beyond- accommodating all of our requests; even when our kids started to melt down a bit she altered our itinerary so that we could eat lunch early and recuperate. She was kind, professional, and an expert in getting us to see all the sights. Cannot wait to come back and would recommend her to everyone.

We stopped at a pig cafe, for macha strawberries and went to a specific store our granddaughter. Went down alley for street artists and then a shopping center with a green terrace all because he listened to our interests.

This was a great tour of Tokyo! Taka was amazing at staying in touch in planning the tour. Taka took us to some of the major shrines and a few different parts of Tokyo where we talked a lot about different customs and Japanese culture. Taka was incredibly friendly and shared a lot of his personal experiences, which made the tour really unique!

I spent a half day touring Tokyo with Yohei. He was very knowledgeable about Tokyo and beyond. He shared many stories about the city that I could not have found in any guidebook. Given that this was my third time in Tokyo, Yohei took me to truly hidden gems of the city and small local neighborhoods. After the tour, Yohei suggested a fantastic local place for lunch. It was a fantastic tour and I will certainly do it again when I come back to Tokyo. It felt like touring with a friend.

Excellent walking tour (and a couple of trains) with our guide Shuto, he showed us many highlights of the city such as Meiji Shrine in Harajuku, the national park in Shinjuku (went to a tea house in the park) the famous crossing and shopping in Shibuya, plus more. This was our first time in Tokyo and we would have missed seeing these hidden gems if we didn’t do a tour like this. Our tour guide (Shuto) was amazing and connected well with all family members. The whole family had a great day and would highly recommend booking this tour.

Shuto was an excellent tour guide, he greeted us all at the hotel we were staying at, showed us how to navigate through the train system. He also escorted us to all the major shopping areas, were he waited while we bought our souvenirs. Would highly recommend Shuto to anyone new or even a bit of a novice of Tokyo, his knowledge plus his fluent english makes a busy city seem easier to find your way around.

Great insights into anime culture

Nobu brought us to unique shops that specialised in anime experiences. I would probably not have been able to find these shops on my own. My 12 year old daughter also enjoyed the experience especially the cat cafes and the anime-themed stores.

We didn’t give her much knowledge of our interests but she listened well enough to understand what we liked with an extensive tour.

Did a tour on our first day in Tokyo, to help us get familiar with the city, a little more comfortable moving around. It was the perfect way to start our trip. We feel incredibly lucky to have had Taka as our guide - he has an amazing energy and was very warm & welcoming. He was very thoughtful in how he put our tour together; asking a lot of questions about what we wanted to see & do, then making sure to customize a tour that catered to our needs. He is very knowledgeable about the city and you can tell he is very passionate about it. Taka was engaging with all members of our family; from my wife & I, but also our kids as well (early 20’s). We enjoyed Taka so much that we ended up meeting him for dinner at his families Korean BBQ restaurant a few nights later

We have used City Unscripted twice now - once in Hong Kong and then in Tokyo. In Tokyo we hadn\'t pre-booked a tour, and I only tried to organise something the evening before. City Unscripted went above and beyond to try and organise one of their tour guides, even though it was quite late in the evening already. The next morning Mari met us, and after discussing what our preferences were, she took us on a bespoke tour of Tokyo. She included \"experiences\" a wll, such as saki-tasting, and sampling street food. We had delicious Wagu beef strips barbecued for us a we watched, and then ate. I strongly recommend City Unscripted as their tours are reasonably priced and tailored to ones needs and interest.

We only had a short time in Shibuya and wanted to get a feel for that part of the City, the culture and history. Our guide was Nobu, who was simply excellent. He made us feel comfortable from the first moment we met him. He listened to what we wanted to get from the experience and was friendly and warm. On top of that his English was excellent and given we don\'t speak any Japanese, that was perfect!

Megumi was a lovely guide. I liked that she connected with me prior to the tour to customize our day. She showed us many parts of Tokyo and taught us how to use the subway. Afterwards, we felt comfortable using the subway on our own. I highly recommend Megumi!

Momoko was an excellent guide to the big city of Tokyo. She made us feel at home and confident travelling by Tokyo\'s subway so we were able to travel by ourselves afterwards. Momoko had written to us beforehand to find out our preferred activities for the walking tour and she was quickly able to adapt to changing weather and our changing requests. Momoko speaks excellent English and was able to explain many aspects of Japanese life and history. We covered so many sights and destinations on the day. The tour was extremely well planned and organized by the fantastic and knowledge guide Shuto. He knew all the interesting places to visit and the appropriate times. There were very good recommendations for food and brilliant advice given for the rest of my stay in Tokyo. An excellent experience overall and highly recommend.
