Hello, my name is Julio. I’m a born and raised Barcelona local who loves the incredible diversity this city offers—from medieval neighborhoods and Roman ruins to Gaudí’s modernist landmarks and contemporary architecture like El Fòrum. You can experience the buzz of a big city and still enjoy a peaceful walk in Montjuïc or Tibidabo. I’m especially fond of off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods like Sants, where I live. To me, this is the real Barcelona—full of local markets, independent bookshops, cafés, and cozy squares where locals gather for tapas and drinks. Just nearby is Poble Sec, one of my favorite districts. It’s a creative, vibrant spot where you can find vegan burgers, Spanish wines, charming streets, art galleries, and the beautiful Mercat de Sant Antoni, a modernist market where locals shop and enjoy food right at the counter. Everyone knows the tourist landmarks, but I love helping visitors experience the city through a local lens. If you’re curious to discover a more authentic side of Barcelona—without the crowds—I’d love to show you the places that truly capture its spirit and everyday charm.
