1000 characters is not really enough to convey how amazing a guide and person Alan is. He’s so incredibly passionate about his city, his district, the origins of Catalonia, the art of architecture, I find myself at a loss for words. He’s given me such an amazing gift of historical connections and new-found appreciation of not only Gaudi, nor BCN, but art, architecture and the human condition itself. Alan wants to better the world, and frankly, the world is bettered simply by the presence of someone like him in it. Truly one of the greatest afternoons of conversing, learning and sharing that I’ve ever experienced. A most compassionate, genuine, caring, knowledgeable and fun individual. I have relatives that I’ve met before, who I can’t really remember all that well, but I’ll never forget Alan, his teachings and our conversing this afternoon. Thank you Alan. Moltes Gràcies, amigo!

We enjoyed an amazing day with Donnie. He is extremely knowledgeable and funny. A multilingual speaker, he is extremely friendly and happy to share his expertise and recommendations with us. Our family was able to learn so much about cuisine and culture in Barcelona. If you are lucky enough to join Donnie on a tour be ready for a wonderful, memorable experience!

Jonathan picked us up at our hotel and took us on a walking tour of Barcelona after we consulted the map and made some selections. Some of the things we did and saw included walking around the Cathredral, thru the Plaza Real, down the Ramblas to the Christopher Columbus statue. From here we went up to the castle on Monjuic where we had great views of the city and many flowering trees and gardens. From here we took the cable car down to the area of the famous Gaudi houses, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera (1905), also known as Casa Mila. We then trekked back to the Gothic Quarter for some tapas and drinks. Jonathan was also kind enough to estcourt us to the Western Union station before we said good bye for the day.
