I studied Art History at the University of Barcelona (UB), and I coursed the last year of the degree at the University of Parma (Italy), a lovely place where is produced the famous Parmigiano cheese! When completed the degree in Italy I came back to Barcelona, but shortly after I decided to move to London (UK) where I lived for a year and a half enjoying a vibrant city full of art! When I moved back to Barcelona I worked in art galleries and museums, like the National Museum of Art of Catalunya (MNAC), and the contemporary art museum CAIXAFORUM. During the year 2006, I passed the exams and became a Licensed tour guide. Since the first day, I love my job! Meeting new people, connecting with them, and sharing my passion and enthusiasm for the arts. Making the customers fall in love with Barcelona and wish to come back soon is my objective! Even though I am specialized in arts, I love to know and let know what's going on in the city! I'm flexible, and quick to pick up new skills. Ready for the fresh new restaurants and best places for shopping, but also the most traditional or authentic places, those hidden even for many locals! I live in the heart of Barcelona (just 2 min walk from the Picasso Museum); I was born close to the land that inspired Joan Miró (south of Catalonia); and I Love to spend many weekends in the Empordà, north of Catalonia, where Salvador Dalí was born.
I’ve lived in Barcelona for 27 years
I speak English, Spanish, Italian, Catalan

My name is Jonathan, and I am a local host in Barcelona. I love everything about this vibrant city, but what I appreciate most is the fact that you can always find somewhere to enjoy a good meal until midnight - it's a true foodie's paradise! One of my favorite areas in Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter. Its winding streets and stunning architecture make it the perfect place to explore and get lost in. And speaking of food, I'm a huge fan of tapas and gin & tonics, so I know all the best spots to indulge in these local favorites. But don't worry; I'm not limited to just one area of Barcelona - I know most neighborhoods really well, basically the whole city! I can take you to all the main areas where tourists want to see Gaudi's works, including the Gothic and Modernista Eixample neighborhoods. Let's explore Barcelona together and make some unforgettable memories!
Friendly and well-rounded, I mix historical charm with foodie favorites and Gaudí gems to create a laid-back, unforgettable experience.

I am a professional photographer and a passionate traveler who always intends to discover the essence of each city that has the privilege to visit. In the needed to explore the world, I decided to take a break from my job as an engineer and start traveling around the world to enrich my knowledge, meet new cultures and connect with them on a more personal level; some of the places I was fortunate to visit were: South America, Part of Europe, Part of Africa, Southeast Asia, Mexico, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and California. After traveling for almost two years, I return to my native country (Spain) with the idea of creating a tourist experience for new visitors to Barcelona, intending to transmit the charm and essence of this city; beyond that, making them feel at home and provide them an unforgettable experience.
Relaxed and insightful, I mix storytelling with street-level discoveries to help you connect with the real Barcelona.

I’ve lived in Spain for almost four years, three of them in Barcelona and one in Madrid. I love these cities and I really enjoy helping others fall in love with them too. I like photography, especially urban, landscapes, and architecture. In my free time I go to art exhibitions (photography and contemporary art). I like EDM and my favourite DJ's are Martin Garrix and KYGO. Usually I read every night: romantic novels are the best ones. Every time a friend visits me in the city, I show around in the best way by exploring the culture, history, and food on foot. That’s what I do when I travel and I know this is the most lovely, amazing way to visit any city like a true local.
Friendly and relaxed, I love sharing the city like I would with a close friend—through its art, design, culture, and everyday charm.
