Hello there! My name is Megumi, and I am very excited and honored to be a local host and very grateful to have the chance to show you guys around my beautiful country, Japan, and its must-visit city, Tokyo! I grew up outside of Tokyo, called Gunma (which is famous for hot springs, skiing, etc. I can arrange a short trip if you are interested!) and spent 6 years working in a multicultural environment in the middle east and came back to Japan in 2020 and live in Tokyo since then. I am very passionate about food and love to find good places to eat (regardless of the price and genre) and share the experience with people! So if you are looking for hidden gems restaurants or places that you can hardly find in a guidebook, come along with me and let's make your Japan trip memorable filled with good food, and lots of smiles!

What a fabulous day touring Tokyo with our guide, Megumi. A native of Tokyo, she took us all over town, hopping from place to place on the ubiquitous Tokyo Metro. (We are experienced international travelers, but without a guide we could not possibly have seen as much, or learned as much about Tokyo and Japanese culture.) She met us at our hotel, and we rode the metro to the Tokyo Outer Market/ Fish market - from there to a lively shopping area. Now it was lunch time - Meggy took us to an area with many small restaurants and we enjoyed interesting Japanese fare made in front of us on a teppan. Along the way we also visited a number of temples and gardens, and learned about the proper way to approach a temple, to pray, and leave a request for good fortune. Along our walks and over lunch we spent a lot of time learning about life in Tokyo and for Japanese youth. Megumi was so knowledgeable and personable. We had a fantastic day. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic all day tour of Tokyo. Megumi had a great plan which took us both to “classic” tour sites but also a dive into Japanese food and culture at restaurants and temples. She was personable thoughtful and fun. Loved it.

Today was a special day for us. A short and enjoyable bus and train ride away from the bustle of Tokyo Central lies the beautiful and charming town of Kamakura. After a short stroll through the streets under a light drizzle, we let our senses wander to eternity and back in the soothing and peaceful presence of nature in the wonderful gardens of Takuma and the Hokokuji temple. Three stops away from Kamakura lies Hase, where we admired the statue of Buddha and stopped for coffee and an inspiring chat with Megumi, our guide and the most charming person there is. Thank you! Margarida and Miguel
