Hi, I’m Kotaro, your slightly train-obsessed, endlessly curious Tokyo host! What I love most about this city is how its enormous size somehow feels like a collection of tiny worlds, each station along the Yamanote Line is its own little kingdom with a unique rhythm, flavor, and charm. I spend my free time wandering through areas untouched by the war, where old wooden houses still whisper stories of pre-war Tokyo, or diving into massive events like Comic Market or international forums that only Tokyo could pull off. I’m also training to be a Shinto priest and can talk endlessly about Japan’s history, beliefs, and trains . Yes, trains! So be prepared for a fun, thoughtful, and slightly nerdy adventure through my favorite corners of the city.
