I'm Mai, a history-loving Kyoto local who turned a childhood dream into reality by moving here for university. I love how Kyoto blends the past and present—where ancient stone monuments stand beside modern cafés. Whether I'm wandering through historic streets, discovering hidden temples, or indulging in Kyoto’s unique cuisine, I’m always uncovering something new. I know Fushimi well, from its famous sake to its best ramen spots, and Higashiyama’s quiet temple treasures never cease to amaze me. Mai was a very personable guide with whom we had excellent rapport. A most friendly and knowledgeable guide whose company we enjoyed as much as every thing we saw and experienced. Mai was able to customise our tour to suit the conditions and was able to arrange transport to various locations that made for very efficient travel between our various destinations.
