I am a Tour Guide
Greetings, I'm Jose David, your friendly local host in Kyoto. I'm deeply fascinated by how this modern city effortlessly transforms into a time capsule, preserving its rich heritage spanning over 400 years. One of my favorite pastimes is gathering with friends for delightful dinners and spending time by the tranquil Kamogawa River, that has the best backdrop of this charming city. Navigating the neighborhoods of Kyoto is like second nature to me. Whether it's the hidden gems tucked away in Gion's narrow alleys or the modern vibrancy of Pontocho, I've got you covered. From iconic landmarks like Kinkakuji and Fushimi Inari to lesser-known cultural treasures, I consider myself a Kyoto expert, well-versed in the city's every facet. It would be my pleasure to guide you through the serene temples, bustling markets, and serene gardens that define Kyoto's essence. Join me in discovering the heart and soul of Kyoto. I look forward to making your visit to Kyoto truly unforgettable.
José was THE best tour guide! As soon as he got to know my son and I, he immediately knew where to take us off the beaten path into quiet beautiful areas. He navigated us through all the trains efficiently and took us to a great stop for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour! We did 5 hours, and it was a perfect amount of time.

José is a great guide, we booked the tour as our first activity in Kyoto, and Jose gave us spot-on recommendations that allowed us to avoid large crowds while still getting a good feel for both Kyoto's nightlife and cultural significance. We asked for a fast-faced tour and he had us covered so much ground. 10 out of 10 recommend.
