My name is Ryuki, I was born and raised in Kyoto. I am a University student studying English literature. I currently work in the hospitality industry and love meeting and getting to know new people. Kyoto is home to me, it represents my family, my friends, and life-long memories. I love my city for its fusion of history and culture, and how it is always evolving. Kyoto is gorgeous throughout all the four seasons, so I am sure you are going to make lifetime memories during your trip. On my list of must-see places, you may find: Kiyomizu temple and Fushimi Inari - its beautiful torii (red gate) path up to the mountain cannot be matched anywhere in the world. We had an excellent 5 hour tour with Ryuki in Kyoto! We are a family of 4 with 2 adult college age daughters. Ryuki grew up in Kyoto and is friendly, animated. He will email you his suggested itinerary but you can change it to your preferences. We visited Gion, many temples, shrines, ate lunch at a local Japanese restaurant, and had yummy delicious snacks. He knew the best places to take your photos. It was an extremely hot, humid day but he timed our visit so that we would be in a shady area at the hottest time of day. I would highly recommend Ryuki to be your tour guide.

Ryuki tailored our walk perfectly, allowing us to try lots of different local cuisines. He was happy to chat about everything and anything and shared lots of local knowledge with us. The food was tremendous and it was a great way to experience Kyoto on our first visit there. Highly recommend the your, especially if Ryuki is taking it. (Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as it is a fair amount of walking!)
