Hi, I’m Emi, a local host here in Kyoto, where tradition and modern life blend seamlessly. As Japan’s old capital, Kyoto is steeped in history, but what I love most is how it continues to grow and evolve, offering something fresh to discover every day. I love spending time along the peaceful Kamo River, where life in Kyoto slows down, and the charm of the city truly shines. Whether it’s exploring the atmospheric streets of Gion and Higashiyama or finding the best local eats, I’m always on the lookout for unique experiences that show Kyoto at its finest. With a deep appreciation for Kyoto’s incredible food culture and a passion for sharing the city’s hidden treasures, I’ll help you uncover both its timeless traditions and its modern-day delights. Let’s take a walk through Kyoto’s beauty together and create memories you’ll always treasure!

We enjoyed the tour that Emi planned out for us. We were open to seeing whatever sites she suggested and she did a great job. She was very knowledgeable about the history and cultural significance of the sites we visited. We would highly recommend her. She was also so patient and kind to our 7 year old daughter, and answered all of her many questions.

Our guide was Emi, she was great. She taught us history, culture, how to use the trains and plenty more. Nothing was too much trouble.
