Explore East End's iconic eats, trendy bites & hidden gems with a local host. Unveiling London's vibrant flavors, one delicious bite at a time.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Calling all foodies! Ditch the tourist traps and join your local host on a mouthwatering experience through London's East End! You’ll hit hidden gems only locals know, savoring the flavors that make this area so special.
You’ll kick things off at the legendary Dumpling Shack in Old Spitalfields Market. This place is CROWDED for a reason – they serve the best soup dumplings (shengjianbao) in London, straight from Shanghai! Trust me, one bite and you'll be hooked (seriously, they're THAT good!)
Just a short stroll away lies Kill the Cat, an eclectic bar boasting a curated selection of local and international brews. It can be overwhelming with so many options, but that's where your local host comes in to help you find the perfect pint to tantalize your taste buds. Just sit back and savor the flavor!
Next, you’ll delve into the heart of Brick Lane's renowned curry scene at Aladin. This restaurant, voted one of the UK's best curry houses, serves up authentic Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani cuisine. Your local host will guide you through the menu and make sure you experience the perfect curry for your palate.
No East End experience is complete without a bagel from the iconic Beigel Bake. These freshly baked beauties are a London institution, and I can't resist popping in for one whenever I'm in the area!
Time for some classic British comfort food! Poppies Fish and Chips is my favorite for authentic, crispy fish and chips. Step back in time with their nostalgic decor and experience the true taste of London since 1950.
Finally, you’ll end our adventure with a quintessential London pub experience at Fuller's Ale and Pie House. Soak up the warm, welcoming atmosphere while enjoying a delicious steak and ale pie with mash. And of course, no pub visit is complete without a cold pint! Leave it to your host to recommend the perfect one to round out this delicious East End journey.

Show moreAna, made the experience very engaging by contacting me prior to our scheduled date. We were able to plan my May 12th date with the requests I asked for and we were able to introduce ourselves to each other. The places Ana took me to were not always listed under regular tours of London which made it more interesting for me to understand the culture of the city. I was able to visit sites that only a Londoner would know about. I was especially thrilled to visit The Ned Bar/Restaurant, one of the filming sites of the James Bond film, Goldfinger. Another special visiting site was the lifting of the gates at Tower Bridge. We had the best viewing spot that only Ana knew where to stand. We had time to visit the first church built in London. We saw the horse guards parade own the street on their way to Buckingham Palace. We took epicures in front of the Clock Tower in the best possible location, etc. What I really liked bout Ana was her ability to socially engage with our environment.
