Walk one of London's most iconic routes and see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and more
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You'll follow your local London host on a journey through London's royal past as you explore the age-old route from Westminster to Covent Garden, although you sadly won’t be taking this route in the royal carriage.
Sorry. Onwards and upwards though! This iconic district, which has deeply entrenched political and royal roots, is steeped in history dating back centuries. Get to know some of the political histories of Westminster, if you’re that way inclined, and soak up the beautiful surroundings of its pristine royal parks, treasured statues, memorials, and galleries.
If your vibe is more on the regal side of things, a stroll through St James’s Park, past Buckingham Palace to the luxury food store where the royal household is known to have their shopping done should do the trick.
Take in the architecture of the UK Parliament, and Westminster Abbey, which has seen its fair share of royal weddings over the years. And if you are feeling thirsty your host can show you to a pub renowned for its political and parliamentary regulars, or you could indulge in an afternoon tea at the opulent food emporium we mentioned earlier. Scones, anyone?

We've joined a lot of walking and guided tours while visiting other countries over the years and thought we would try one in our own Capital City. We were seeking a tour with someone who was native to London with local knowledge who could show us places not on the normal tourist trail and give us an insight to London from a Londoner's perspective. Stuart delivered on this and some! He led us to some gems of places, most of which we wouldn't have known about and it was a joy to be on such a relaxed meander. Stuart is great company and the whole tour felt like we were being shown little known places by an old friend. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I am sure Stewart enjoyed it too. We would recommend Stewart to anyone looking for this type of tour in the knowledge they would enjoy the experience. Stewart took us to some places where it was like stepping back in time. It was so heartening to see there are still some places functioning as they have done for many years.
Show moreSacha and Barry were fantastic during our tour! Sacha was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who offered us entertaining insight into our stops! She managed to entertain a large disparate group of visitors very well. Truly impressive energy for a long day of touring! Barry was a great driver who navigated the roads well and made sure we got there safely! All in all a great day.
Show moreCarolina was a lovely lady, who personalised a trip for us and we didn't really know anything about London or where we wanted to go. We learnt allot about the history and catching a tube train. She was a warm & interesting guide, who answered all our questions and was just so lovely. Definitely recommend doing this type of tour and Carolina if you can get her. 1st class.

Show moreA great private tour I would recommend!!!!!!! My son and I had the most awesome time on this tour. It was at our time and pace. My local host Gail (so awesome and thank you!!!!) was very knowledgeable on each location she took us to and she made me feel like I was out with a friend who knew exactly where to take us and make the most out of the 4 hours. I must admit it was quit a bit of walking but that is also at your discretion, my son and I wanted to see as much as we can and Gail help us accomplish that. After this tour it was a little easier to maneuver from one location to the next for the other attractions.
